DC good comment about the beutiful game! We need to progress...lot a good the joga bonito did for Barca vs Inter.........possession and passing yes,,,but only VP and Arshavin can shoot everyone else passes passes passes passes....we need GREEDY SHOOTERS mixed in with classy ball handlers and a top level international GK....How can you be a top G14 team and have minor league GK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!vamos gunners!

If you're an Arsenal player, what exactly is there to motivate you to fight for your starting spot? Anyone? Anyone?

Competition. Look at Manure, (ughk) earlier in the yr Nani was in the doghouse and Park was getting the bulk of the matches iirc. All of a sudden Nani comes good, I wonder if there's a mysterious correlation to competition and improvement.

The boss's full post-match comments here: Wenger "rages"

I really, really hate to post this, but I have to say that Fat Sam's own walrus-cvnted comments are the more rational ones:

"If you expose the opposition's weaknesses enough then in the end those weaknesses will be exposed," he said. "The amount of balls we put into the box on the keeper, who has obviously been a weak link for them, paid off.

"We beat Arsenal fair and square. The referee gave some that were fouls, he gave some that weren't fouls and he didn't give some that might have been fouls.

"You can't give everything as a foul on the goalkeeper and he certainly gave his fair share."

I haven't seen it, but from the match reports I've read, and the commentary I was able to listen to during the match, it sounds like that isn't a terribly unfair assessment.

glad i didn't even see the game or follow it online.

this is a pathetic end to the season, regardless if there is nothing to play for.

Personally I always pull for any team with Arsenal players on it to crash out in the group stages.

Pathetic, impotent, and disgraceful. A keeper who might as well be a six-year-old girl. Yet another loss away to a physical side.

Quit blaming negative tactics, Wenger, quit blaming the referee, and WIN when you have to WIN instead of choking at the end of every season (if we make it that far before falling off).

Bring on all the "hurrr, the fact that we've gotten third or fourth every year for the last five is an accomplishment!", but I'm going to go ahead and say we'll need a keeper that isn't the absolute worst possibly to have ever played in the premiership to actually play, and hell, maybe even a player that can score who isn't named van Persie.

We very well may lose at home to Fulham because they've showed how to play with heart and determination this year instead of pissing their pants whenever the other team is physical.
