I know a Red Card in a WC final does carry over into the next qualifier and it's the same thing for Champions League Red Cards in a team's last match where it would carry over into the next season's CL. I would assume Dekker might be suspended for the first WC match.

It's harsh to carry over a red card to a new tournament months in the future. It's an absolutely dumb rule, IMO. She and the team were penalized by her leaving game. I don't agree with penalizing the team and player a second time except maybe in cases of egregious violations of some kind. I can see the rule applying once a tournament has started--meaning if you get a red in a tournament game you must sit out the next game in the tournament--but it seems silly and excessively punitive to carry a qualifying game red over to the first game of the tournament months in the future. Too much, IMO.

We saw it recently when a French girl who was sent off in the U-19 euros final was suspended for the U-20 WC first game.
I think a DOGSO carries a one game ban, so she won't miss too many games.
