Czech Republic is in 13th place which is still enough to get 3 teams in European competition but they are only 0.082 points ahead of Denmark (both have still a club in Europa Cup).

Norwegian clubs are all eliminated but Sweden has still Hammarby and Häcken in Europa Cup.

I'm pulling or OH Leuven. Yeah, not much of a chance, but they are fun to watch.

Quarterfinals in a crazy period. March 1 to april 1, TIME FOR INJURY, NOT FOR QUALITY ?
In addition to an already very busy domestic calendar, there are all the international tournaments, UEFA nations league and SBC, march 1 to 8 , 2026 AFC Asian Cup march 1 to 21, 2026 CAN march 17 to april 3.
Since almost all the players from the 8 teams are internationals, they could play between 7 and 10 matches over a 30-day period.
Asian players likely will miss the first leg of quarterfinal
African players could miss the 2 legs
Add to that the fatigue of travel, long journeys, and jet lag, crazy calender :

Bundesliga is decided (Bayern 14 points ahead of Wolfsburg) so Bayern can rest players in Bundesliga. A bit more difficult for Wolfsburg (6 points ahead of third place but have matches against Frankfurt, Leverkusen and Hoffenheim who all fight for Champions League place).

A note: O Smith went off injured and is no longer going to SBC. Reports I've seen is that it is a serious head injury - she was taken off on a stretcher and neck brace. Hope that was just the normal precaution and it is better than feared.

Was it head to head, arm to head or head to ground? It really is a shame to miss the SBC, was looking forward to the challenge of defending her. Hope she can make it back by Chelsea matches, if not, gives Chelsea an advantage because Smith was in really good form recently. If they get Blackstenius back that will mitigate the potential loss.

I fully welcome the fact that it is a lottery instead of first come first serve like before. It stops fans from certains clubs to buy all the tickets.

To recap the semi-finals will be

    Arsenal v OL Lyonnes
    Bayern v Barcelona

Scheduling is a problem as most of those games are played at main club stadium over a week-end, which means there are some men games already planned or potentially happening those week-end .

First leg 22/26 Apr, second leg 2/3 May.

And in the end, all 3 English clubs ended up unable to fill up the teamsheet with the maximum 23 players.
In the first leg 8 subs for Arsenal, 9 for Chelsea who named Carpenter but did not use her.

United had 7 subs and started Miyazawa who had just come back from the Asian Cup. I don't think it was good for the Japanese players' health. In the end Manchester United ran out of gas in the second leg due to players tiredness. Mark Skinner at United paid the price for the lack of rotation in his squad from the start of the season.
