Another interesting stats is how many teams are still in for each country

    Countries with 3 teams

    FRA 3/3
    GER 3/3
    SPA 3/3
    ENG 3/3
    SWE 2/3
    CZE 2/3

    2 teams

    DEN 1/2
    NED 1/2
    ITA 1/2
    KAZ 0/2
    NOR 1/2
    ISL 1/2
    SCO 1/2
    RUS 0/2
    BLR 0/2

    1 team still in

    CYP
    POR
    UKR
    ALB
    SUI
    CRO

The missing third placed teams were both eliminated by France's Bordeaux. Which means the D1 Arkema is a better league that the Swedish and Czech leagues.

Absolutely not. It means nothing. Only multiple years results could give us an indication of the Leagues respective depth.

Full luck for Arsenal in the League path. Especially as they start their League campaign against Chelsea between the two ties.

Regarding the seeding at Group stage:

For the purpose of the draw, the 16 clubs involved in the group stage are seeded into four groups of four. The first group comprises the titleholder (top seed) and the domestic champions of the three associations ranked highest in the access list (see Annex A). If the titleholder is the domestic champion of one of the top three associations, the group is completed with the champion of association ranked fourth in the access list. The other three groups are composed in accordance with the club coefficient rankings established at the beginning of the season (see Annex D).

    Seed 1

    1 Barcelona (ESP, holders) 104.800
    2 Paris Saint-Germain (FRA) 85.400
    3 Bayern München (GER) 84.100
    4 Chelsea (ENG) 70.700

    Other teams

5 Levante (ESP) 12.800 vs Lyon (FRA) 124.400

6 Wolfsburg (GER) 97.100 vs Bordeaux (FRA) 18.400

7 Real Madrid (ESP) 12.800 vs Manchester City (ENG) 79.700

8 Arsenal (ENG) 27.700 vs Slavia Praha (CZE) 52.300

9 Rosengård (SWE) 49.100 vs Hoffenheim (GER) 15.100

Benefica just scored a real beauty on Twente. Worth checking the highlights for when they come out.

Hoffenheim won 3:0 and Arsenal lead 2:0 at half time. It looks like all qualifiers from the League path will be from the big four leagues. It`s not unlikely that all quarterfinalists will be from these leagues if the draw allows it. Hoffenheim needs three from eight pairings to be won by the team with the lower coefficient to avoid pot 4.

Horrible performance and result from Rosengård  They were punished heavily by their own mistakes and sloppy play against a tactically smarter but very average looking Hoffenheim.

The commentator seemed to delight in how many chances Esther missed, I think he had the count at seven solid scoring opportunities. But what he missed in his ignorance was her skill in getting them and being in the right place, or out-leaping her defender, etc.

I didn't realize Nahikari Garcia had gone to Real from Sociedad. Maybe there is hope for them slowly getting into an arms race with Barcelona.

If I'm Bordeaux and have two away goals and a home match coming up I'm feeling pretty good about slaying the dragon.

{edit 30 seconds later} I just remember they ditched the away goals rule a month or so back.

The big teams that have entered the League path in Round 2 have all struggled: Lyon only won 2-1 away at Levante. City 1-1 draw at Real Madrid and Wolfsburg 3-2 winners against Bordeaux.
Rosengard and Slavia both lost, while Real Madrid have done well against City.

A lot of ties are quite open going into the second leg. Out of 12, four teams are 100% going through except for a miracle: Arsenal, Hoffenheim, Juventus and Häcken.

Dang... well, congrats to Servette on making up for Zurich's flop. Quite the rough way to go out for Glasgow.
