We played France at the last World Cup and even though we lost, they were not better than us. We basically have the same team now. Bellingham was very good he’s now one of the very best players in the world. Foden is a better player too. rice has improved. We still have an issue for the third midfielder, I think it’s fixable. I just hope Gallagher isn’t the one coming in the team

I think this is clear now. England's talisman is Bellingham, not Kane. To tell the truth, Kane never was before either.

Guess we don’t really have a dedicated section to talk about it, but I really wish broadcasters would move on from Ferdinand. Getting really sick of the idiotic, low IQ football influencer style punditry he brings to all of his gigs. It’s even more painful when he is next to someone of genuine intellect and insight like Jose in the CL final or Fabregas the other night.

I honestly don't bother listening to any of the Pre or Post game, on any of the channels anymore (apart from Monday Night Football now and again).

Most of the full time pundits, became pundits because they don't have the aptitude or inclination to be a coach and it shows in there level analysis (apart from a few like Nev and Carra, who when not talking about there own clubs are good and clearly do the research)

It's "absolute balls" if you're relying on Trippier to play the left half/left wing role in a 3-2-2-3.

Just listening to Emanuel Petit talking about England and basically saying he doesn’t think Southgate knows what he’s doing or how to get the best out of our players. Talking about Trent looking lost and trying to put square pegs in round holes. Probably some will disagree on here but I tend to agree with Petit.

I know he's a great player but I'm talking about generational talents like kane and Bellingham. Mbappe is a generational talent

You can probably argue Griezmann as well. Being in the top 3 players at 3 separate tournaments is a great achievement. France's most dangerous player possibly.

Completely ignoring the left wing in an event during an election campaign?

Southgate can’t be that stupid not to have some sort of plan B surely?

Just because we will not play two strikers doesn’t mean we only have one plan.

Feels to me like another article from Villa fan Matt Law trying to get Watkins into the narrative.

Watkins was on media duty today. So he has built an article about some brief comments he made.

Doesn’t look like Shaw is ready to have much if any involvement tomorrow.

That's a really good analysis to be honest, I hope the England staff are as thorough as that.. I also liked the analysis yesterday on BBC with Lamoard, Shearer, Fabregas and Lineker with them all in wanting England to play a better high pressing game

It's difficult to see how Shaw will have any real involvement in the tournament at this point if he's still not even training with the team.

Feels like a waste of a spot that could have gone to Branthwaite, Mitchell, Chilwell, Davis or Burn.

For me Saka has got to sacrifice himself for the good of the team and go left back, we can’t continue with Trippier into the knockout phase.
