i think that many of the teams that went far in the wc have players that haven't reached their max. level yet. if you compare teams that even weren't present in germany, they had some kind of 6 weeks off, if not more... so i fully understand that italy nor netherlands played at their max. capacity. anyway i hope that portugal will do better on wed.

The trick is to give up as few points as possible in the first few games if you are one of the WC hangover teams.
