Very true...2 or 3 games with a goal or 2 does not mean consistency. Its a mere flash in the pan. Lets see what happens during an entire qualifying run or during a tournament against stiff compettition

I hope anyone who was taking a shot at Ronaldo over his last two qualifier performances, saying he should have been substituted, has a good look at the match against Sporting today. A perfect example of why he is "untouchable" even when he plays badly for the first 60 minutes.

Ronaldo was one of the highest in all of europe in goal scoring for qualifers

8 goals (should of been 9 with that bike shot that was ruled out) none of them were penalties, he scored some important ones too its noe like he scored them all in 1 game vs san marino or faroe islands.

if portugal had a really mega-crap team in their group like andorra or san marino or faroe islands ronaldo would of probably neeted around 12 goals.

Im sure hell play well in euro, hes going to be expected to since hes become a mega star over the past year. Hes probably the best player that will feature in euro 2008, from any country.

even if he doesnt play good, he can still make the difference in one play. anyways, im sure ronaldo and portugal will play better in euro. they will get the squad together and the teamwork will improve and ronaldo will benefit.
