Teams tied 1-1 on aggregate after a listless first leg at Parkhead. N. American TV Coverage via Sentanta closed-circut only. Is the BBC still going to stream the game? Anyone? That would be your free option. Otherwise there is the Celtic Web Site or UEFA. The latter has a good match tracker service. Well, I watched the Hearts - Celtic replay on FSW last night, it didn't get over 'till Midnight our time and I had to go to bed with a maudlin feeling. A very soft, sloppy performance against a Hearts team that looked like they had literally just rolled out of bed with kicking our asses as the only item on their to-do list that day. If we play that way in Portugal we are doomed to a humiliating loss. One hopes that our performance in Tynecastle was that of a team that has realized that their league performance is really of no consequence vis next year's appearance in Europe and has focused like a the laser pointer of a forward air controller on winning its first european cup in 30-odd years. One can always hope.
Yes, I believe the BBC is going to have audio. http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/sportscotland/sportsound/
Boavista 0-1 Celtic Celtic go on to the final to face Porto on Larsson's goal about ten minutes from time. Incredible how this match changed with one side going all out and then the other.
YES!! We had a couple of network crises during the day, so was not able to follow the Audio, only the match tracker. My last check was about the 58th minute and I was getting edgy. Then spent about 25 minutes in the server room. Came back and saw 0-1 in the 88th minute and let out a loud whoop that freaked out all my co-workers.
Larsson, my only Larsson..... You make me happy, when skies are gray! We are off to Seville! Not the prettiest match in the world but I will take a 1-0 win.....now onto to Ibrox on Sunday. Hail! Hail!
I'm very happy with the result, considering how absolutely terrible it was to watch. Is it just me or was Lennon's only play all match a pass back to the keeper? Neil, look forward once in a while, sir!
HAIL! HAIL! FANTASTIC!! Will there be any watch parties for the Final in the Chicago area? I would assume Fast Eddies would have it?Or maybe Ginger's? Anyone?
Re: HAIL! HAIL! I can't beleive the Final is on a Wednesday. Nevertheless, I shall make the trek to see the game live. I assume I'll go to Fast Eddies with the Supporters' Club, but I'm sure Gingers will have the game as well as Fado.
We were dire but at least we wanted to play,No offence to boavista supporters as they are a lovely bunch based on the time ive had since tuesday but I dont think I can remember playing a team in europe in the last 30 years so negative in their tactics and dirty in their play. When they werent losing possesion and falling over they were being blown over by the wind of celtic players running past them AND drawing free kicks for it, serves them right that the penalty claim that maybe could have been given went the other way and I hope they are reported to uefa for the one ball ploy, i noticed when we scored though they werent getting injured so much and extra balls had been magiced up out of nowhere. We have to get a lot better if we want to beat porto, and I think we can as long as MON actually gives some players a rest now the league is as good as gone to the huns. Hail Hail
