Tradizioni Dolomiti: le più belle montagne del mondo. Vette, valli, boschi, radure, valichi, torrenti, cascate, paesi che sembrano presepi: un magico universo – verde d’estate, bianco d’inverno – che in ogni stagione, quando al tramonto il sole bacia le rocce più vicine al cielo, subisce il fenomeno dell’ "enrosarida", quello cioè che fa diventare rosa i fianchi e i picchi dei monti dolomitici. E’ in questo incanto della natura che si allunga una delle valli più esaltanti, la Fassa, la cui capitale è Moena, soprannominata "la fata delle Dolomiti". Si tratta di un paesino a 1184 metri di altezza, contornato da sei frazioni (Forno, Medìl, Penia, Someda, Sorte, Pezzè) e sovrastata a sinistra dall’imponente gruppo montuoso del Latemar, a destra da quelli non meno affascinanti dei Monzoni e dell’Alpe di Lusia. Dolcemente adagiata in una conca, Moena è ormai una località di fama internazionale che ogni anno ospita nelle sue strutture alberghiere decine di migliaia di persone attratte dalle bellezze del luogo e dell’intera valle. Un paradiso, quello di Moena, bagnato dal torrente Avisio, dal rio Peniola e dal rio San Pellegrino, abitato dall’antica e nobile gente ladina la cui gentilezza è pari all’ospitalità che l’anima, e caratterizzata dalla presenza, all’interno del centro abitato, di una particolarità inaspettata e per questo doppiamente sorprendente: il "rione Turchia" che sembra debba il suo nome ad un turco sbandato all’indomani dell’assedio di Vienna da parte degli ottomani. La dottoressa Maria Piccolin, bibliotecaria del Comune di Moena, spiega che vari storici e cultori di tradizioni locali hanno provato a ritrovare l’origine di un così inusuale e curioso toponimo. Le conclusioni, però, sono piuttosto discordanti, proponendo alcuni una derivazione da "torchia", cioè il luogo in cui si torceva il lino, altri interpretando invece alla lettera, ricordando appunto la leggenda del soldato turco. Questo personaggio, tanto caro all’immaginario collettivo degli abitanti di Moena, era uno dei circa trecentomila soldati dell’armata turca che nel 1683 assediò per la seconda volta la capitale austriaca (il primo assedio risale al 1529). Narra la leggenda che egli fu catturato, ma che poi riuscì a fuggire alla prigionia degli imperiali e che, dopo un lungo girovagare e innumerevoli peripezie, giunse a Moena ormai allo stremo delle forze, dove venne generosamente soccorso. Colpito e commosso dall’altruismo della gente locale, il turco decise di fermarsi definitivamente nel delizioso paesino e andò ad abitare proprio in quel rione, detto allora genericamente "Ischiazza" (toponimo comune a tutto il Trentino ad indicare un luogo paludoso). I documenti dell’archivio storico del Comune di Moena – precisa ancora la dottoressa Maria Piccolin – numerosi già a partire dal XVIII secolo, citano per la prima volta il toponimo "alla turca" nel 1827, mentre la forma "Turchia" fa la sua prima comparsa nel 1861; nel 1876 si fa riferimento alla "contrada detta Turchia". Resta comunque il fatto che, passeggiando per le stradine ed i vicoli del rione, villeggianti e turisti restino di stucco nel trovarsi di fronte ad una fontana pubblica sormontata dall’immagine di un turco, con tanto di barba, turbante e mezzaluna. O nel vedere la targa stradale che segnala via Damiano Chiesa, con l’aggiunta della parola "Turchia". O nel sorprendere, tra i vari affreschi che abbelliscono le facciate delle case, un dipinto che ritrae un sultano con servi e mogli, ed un altro in cui si vede una coppia turca su un tappeto circondata da rigogliose palme. Ma non è tutto. La tradizione "turca" è talmente sentita che gli abitanti del rione che la onorano in vari modi. C’è la folkloristica sfilata, organizzata durante il periodo di carnevale, di sultani, haremine e giannizzeri: un tripudio di suoni, costumi e colori con cui si vuole rinnovare il ricordo delle leggendarie origini del rione. Le donne locali si tramutano in donne turche con i volti coperti da veli, i pantaloni a sbuffo e le babbucce con punte rivolte all’insù; gli uomini si trasformano in sultani, visir, soldati e sfoggiano costumi che, almeno nelle intenzioni, riecheggiano quelli dei connazionali dell’antico fondatore del rione Turchia. C’è poi, conclude la dottoressa Piccolin, l’usanza della "bastia" che è tipica di tutta la valle ladina di Fassa. E che consiste in questo: lo sposo "forest" (per qualificarlo tale basta anche che egli sia di un rione diverso da quello della sposa) non può lasciare la casa della sposa (qui si usa che lo sposo, con i suoi parenti, si rechi a casa della sposa per avviarsi poi tutti e due insieme e in corteo verso la chiesa) prima di aver pagato un "pedaggio" consistente, come da tradizione, in cibo e bevande simboleggianti "il prezzo della sposa". Ogni paese fassano e ogni rione interpreta a proprio piacimento questa vecchia usanza: nel rione Turchia ciò avviene, ovviamente, "alla turca".

Recently, Fenerbahce was not that good at the European level . i admit that Turkish stadium is full of energy and the spectators have been a vital support but that is not enough to win the game .. look at Dynamo Kyiv , they are not good team as we saw in the first two CL games , but they did exceed Fenerbahce in the third qualifying match . i belive Palermo have gone through more difficult situation when they faced Shalka last season in the HELL Stadium .. Yes they lost 0-3 but only after they lost Mutarelli in the mid of that game . about the draw , is really tough one ! i have not seen any tough group such as this one before . Palermo should beat Newcastle and Celta when they come to Sicily.

Hi there. I just wanted to drop by and see what you guys expect from thursday game here in Frankfurt? Is anybody coming up here by chance? How many Palermisti (is that correct?! ) are expected to turn up anyways? I personally expect a very tough game in which we are clearly the underdog, but I see good chances for us winning it or at least gaining a point. Gotta admitt I dunno to much about Palermos team and their current form tough. If you guy got any questions about Frankfurt feel free to ask and Ill try to answer them! So long

Yes it was Frankfurt. We were just promoted in 2005 and had a great run in the cup last year (including a 6-0 over Schalke) which also granted us that spot in europe (we were only 13th in the table.) We have been struggling with missmanagement and bad luck during the last 12 years and went up and down between 1st and 2nd division, so now that we are back in Europe the euphoria in Frankfurt is huge. Back in the days, (before 95 that is) we used to be quite an adress in Europe but that is way past now. We have been able to built up a young and talented team, mainly with germanspeakers many of whom are even from our own youth like Marco Russ, Jermaine Jones, Christoph Preuss or Patrick Ochs... Our goalkeeper Marcus Pröll is in great form rmomentarily. Probably the most important player so far in this season. On Saturday he kept the 3rd penalty this season. Our defensive is probably the asset. Sotirios Kyrgiakos and Alexandar Vasoski built up a great defensive wall, leftback is usually swiss Christoph Spycher, rightback is Patrick Ochs. Our midfield is probably the weekest point thsi season. But that is also because our two strong defensve midfielders Chris and Jermaine Jones have been injured for quiet ome time now and probably wont be back in full strenght before the winter break... They were both extremely imprtant lat season in getting balsl and opening the game... Up in front we have greek youngster Ioannis Amanatidis who has been great for the last months, along with Michael Thurk and Naohiro Takahara, both of whom arent in best form momentarily alltough Thurk had a great night against Brondby... The main strenght of the team is the teamwork. Everything seems to fit and everybody will give a 110% at any given time. We also have many players who are true allreounders and can rotate and change positions a lot... On paper Palermo is a clear favorite against us, but so where Schalke, Hamburg, Leverkusen, Stuttgart and Brondby and we havent lost a game so far this season... We are still unbeaten after 10 games! Anymore to say?! I think you probably kow the stadium from the World Cup... It holds 48000 and will most probably be packed. I would like to see Palermo and Newcastle advance along us so I wish you guys the best of luck, but not for the first game
Hello guys, This week you'll play against Fenerbahce in Istanbul. Palermo is doing great at Serie A despite the last loss but some journalists in Turkey tells that your team is not really concerned about the UEFA cup. So, you don't play UEFA cup games with your best lineup. Is that correct? I've watched a few games of Palermo this year. Even though you concede a lot of goals you score a lot more to win. I think Palermo is the top scorer of Italy currently. We're on poor form recently, not because of bad players but because the coach Zico is on very poor form. His player selections are terrible. If we play with the same squad as we played against Newcastle we can score some goals. Our defense is poor on free kicks and corners. You'll probably score some goals using that weakness of our team. I don't think that the result will be 0-0 draw. Both teams will score at least a goal but we'll see who'll score more. Good luck to both teams. Hope to see some Italian fans at Fenerbahce stadium.
