Don't want to sound overconfident but this should be a win here. No reason in making things hard on us in the home game.
This should be an interesting choice of lineups for Hitzfeld. With poor performances and form from the likes of Sagnol, Schweinsteiger, and Klose, there is some potential here for a mix up. I say let Klose sit and steam on the pine, reinstate Lell possibly.
This Thursday? Crap! I had opera tickets. Whoops. Guess which one I'll be missing? Plus this means I better get my tickets for the second leg at the Allianz Arena....
I'm a Rangers fan, who hates Aberdeen naturally. I watched the Aberdeen/Celtic game yesterday, and also watched the Bayern/Werder game. A poor Celtic team, and an even poorer Dundee United team have scored 9 goals against Aberdeen in the last 2 games. Don't let Aberdeen's 5th place in our league fool you, they are truely the worst team in Scotland at the moment. Bayern could put out their reserve team and take the sheep apart, and I hope you do. I've got £10 at 40/1 to be more than 6 goals a difference by the end of the night. Won;t be watching it though, I'll be at our Panathanikos game. Good luck Bayern
It can't just disappear off the network. It has to be circulating somewhere on ESPN there. How many ESPN channels are there over there?
I know this has been mentioned to you before but you seem to forget that ESPN here in the US is not the same as it is there in New Zealand. There's college basketball plus what other sports ESPN wants to show. I don't think ESPN has shown any football matches this season. If one has DirecTV then Setanta Sports North America is showing some UEFA matches, but the only one I know that they are showing is the Bayer Leverkusen match. I'd thought that Fox was showing the Spurs match but I am not sure.
The problem with Setanta is that they have 2 different channels. One that you can get on satelite, and the other is only available in bars/pubs. The one in bars/pubs gets first pick on the important matches. Also ESPN only has rights to the Champions League in the US, so they can't show any UEFA cup matches.
Looks like Eissman needs to take a "personal day" and join SCHOLL7 in Milwaukee for the match!!! (now if I could just find an excuse for the wife... hummmmm)
I think if you play Tottenham at a later stage I'll go there, I can get to North London in an hour or so. Or maybe Hamburg or Bremen come here.
When I go to this link, it has everything customised to NZ, so it shows the 10 channels, and the first one - ESPN - shows exactly what I see by switching on my tv. I only get that one channel. It has 2 NCAA basketball games from 1-5pm Tuesday (7-11 pm EST Monday). The channel also shows FOOTBALL . What it does I think is it gets programs from the other 9 ESPN channels as well and mixes it up and shows us here on the first channel called ESPN. If it shows CL, the occasional UEFA Cup here, then it has to be somewhere on the network for you guys as well doesn't it?
Hmm...Ironically enough I'll miss this game due to my German class and I don't think my professor would understand if I were to convince her. In any case, I think Kroos has to start in this game. Not because he is the wonderful "Jarhunderdstalent" but because its time to have an effective RM again and take some preasure off Ribery, Ze and MvB.
Now this is a game where I'd want to see Schweinsteiger and Altintop start. An away game in Scotland against a tough physical side is not suited to give Kroos, Sosa or Schlaudraff playing time.
No. You have to remember that ESPN is not going to air the same thing all over the world because the interests in each country is a little different. Plus, there are different time zones so not everyone is going to show the same thing, and if they do it is not a guarantee that it will be shown at the same time. Just because ESPN is showing the games in one area doesn't mean that everyone else is going to see the game. I know in my area ESPN has not shown any football games this season and that is including the CL. Perhaps they have shown elsewhere but not in my area.
Right, so it could be shown in another area in the USA then. I thought you guys meant "area" as in the whole of the USA before. Last season my friend in upstate NY got CL games on ESPN2 at 2:30 pm when we got them on ESPN at the same time (at 8:30 in the morning).
