SCP beating a Greek team helped, as did SLB's win over the Dutch team a week ago. It was disappointing for FCP to lose and tie both matches against PSG, a French team as France is the next FA ahead of Portugal. So long as the Greeks and Dutch stay behind, we'll be okay, but with 3 teams in Europe (and perhaps 2 if FCP continue on their path), it will be difficult to hold onto 6th spot. Forca PORTUGAL!
If only the Portuguese teams could do a little bit better, we could reach the 4th place in 2 years. For that, we would only need to make the same score as the german and the french this and the next year. It could mean 7 teams!!! If Porto would of win both games with PSG and Benfica had of win Stuttgard, that would be a piece of cake. 00 01 02 03 04 Total 4th Ger 11 14 9 5 0 38 5th Fra 10 7 8 14 0 38 6th Por 6 9 11 10 0 37 01 02 03 04 05 Total 6th Ger 14 9 5 0 0 27 5th Fra 7 8 14 0 0 29 4th Por 9 11 10 0 0 30 Conclusion: We need to equalize the points of the german and french in 2004/05 and 2005/06. That way, we can reach nr 4 in the table ..... it seems easy, but with these exibitions I Wish good luck to all our teams! -Ricardo-
So much pressure on the European Champs! It's fair to say Porto has done more than it's fair share the last couple of years. If Porto fails to move on in Europe this season, it's about time Benfica and Sporting finally do something to pick-up the slack. Both clubs are way overdue.
Don't forget Boavista reached the semi-finals of UEFA 2 years ago. If you say Porto made enough points in the last years, this year Porto is 'throwing them away' All should row for the same objective. Porto still has at least 2 more games. They should win it! -Ricardo-
