I agree. On the merits and in a vacuum, I think it’s hard to justify.

There needed to be more cautions there on the bench, but at least he gave it to Arteta.

    Certainly not a VAR intervention.

    Two good penalty decisions now.

That's the best you can say about that I guess. Stonewall penalty.

The easier and expexted call would have been a penalty, but fair play to Siebert. He got it right. Whether he was lucky or good there is irrelevant.

Guess grabbing a player from behind and then going thru the back is fine now

Arsenal grabs the defenders arm and goes down. I’d be embarrassed to win off the back of that.

I would expect the morons on Reddit to think that second PA decision was a penalty, but not here. Come on guys.

PSG is playing as if time of possession determines the winner.

A few personal quibbles from me but overall well handed to the kicks.

    Arteta's football wasn't rewarded.

How would you rate Siebert's performance, on a scale of 1 to 10?

    8. But I'm also extremely biased and was thrilled to see someone punish Arsenals tactics.

I'm not a Ref, but I'm glad I was not the only one.

I still don't know if he called the PK right away, I thought he unclearly motioned it, or it needed VAR review to be called.

First the commentators said he called it, then they seemed to say he didn't & VAR needed to.

But the only time he halfheartedly pointed to the spot was not after the review, unless I missed it.

I will say I thought the final result was absolutely right, as was the one on the 2nd possible PK, for Arsenal, and I was rooting for them.

Bucharest, Romania is Eastern Eruopean Summer Time, or US Eastern +7. So if you were in Bucharest, kickoff was at 7:00pm local.

On the other hand, if you were in Budapest, Hungary, which is in Central European Summer Time, or US Eastern +6, kickoff would have been at 6:00pm local.

8.5 but if he had clearly indicated a PK for everyone...really could have been a 9

Just embarassing. I genuinely don't think I can remember a more unlikeable and insufferable manager.
