If you have Directv you should be able to find it on the free UEFA channels (462).

I could be wrong, and usually am, but I do not believe Goltv (at least in the US) ever shows live Champions League games.

Are you enjoying that book? I bought it based on positive reviews on BigSoccer and I've only read about a 100 pages or so, but I can't say I've gotten much out of it (I'm just past the chapter on the Hungarians). What I was hoping was for really detailed explanations about how teams played, but it seems to be too heavy on the personalities behind the tactics and not so much on the tactics themselves. Maybe I'm just dense or don't have enough of a foundation in soccer history, but it seems to be that it just explains the formation of great teams and describes how they played generally (i.e. the Hungarians in the 50s played a 4-2-4 and passed a lot with Hidegkuti as a withdrawn striker). This is one of those situations where I think a movie (with old game footage and lots of diagrams) would be better than a book.

Still looking for a stream, in the meantime...

I pretty much agree with you, which is why my pace has slowed from "feverish" to "leisurely." I think Wilson is trying to keep a balance between personality profiles and tactic talk, and he skews too far to the personalities side too often. I just finished the part about Total Football and it really could have used more tactic explanation, especially since his premise is that TF doesn't primarily mean that anyone can attack, but that anyone can defend. I *get* what he's saying but I'd rather have more tactical talk to wade through than less.

I haven't finished the book yet, so I'll reserve final judgment until then.

Yeah, real crappy streams today, and they seem to have shut down the better Ustreams leaving only fuzzy Justin streams. No luck with ATDE or Iraqgoals either.

SO they are crossing the ball in way more than they did last year, where they worked more on short passes through the middle, I think.

Messi is up in the front, and completely crowded out.

They are trying to head the ball in, rather than play the ball in.

The tactics have changed this year. The results haven't been that productive yet.

Right, well we should really have scored two or three so it's not that bad. We're playing well enough, we look dangerous but we're still missing that ball in the back of the net. Oh and Messi looks to be back which is a relief. Not his most outlandishly good half but creative with good passing and dribbling.
