Dude, calm down, what's with the Caps? VP will stay for now.

    Sorry for the caps.

As for calming down, like I said earlier I don't panic and start yelling fire.

What do you take me for, Z?

But the reality is we are not playing well and if this continues VP will get the axe.

Who would you bring in ?

    Premature no, realistic, yes!

3-1 now, really should be 5 or 6-1 and I'm not joking. Just awful, wow. Worst 2nd half of football I've seen in a long time.

I agree VP needs to address this, but we're still in a good position to progress in the CL. But we really need to work on how passive we are in defense.

So, how long do you give him to work out these issues?

The year, a month, two months, how long before the experiment is declared a failure?

Until we're more than 3 points below one of Benfica/Sporting and still are pretty much in a position to qualify I'd stick with VP. That doesn't mean I won't criticize him in the meantime, of course. He definitely NEEDS to address the glaring issues at the moment.

If SD win against Apoel then everyone has 3 points. I'm guessing Zenit fans also weren't happy they lost against APOEL, but here they are running over us.

And Fernando looks really unhappy at RB, shaking his head...

Again, I want to make it very clear here. I'm not asking for VP's head yet.
I'm not panicing but we are in trouble. There has been a general trend of poor play due to poor decision making.

Today's loss falls directly on VP's head.

How a team like FCP does not know how to play in a situation where they find themselves a man down is beyond me.

3-1 full time. A respectable final score for a game which should have been 5-1 minimum. They hit the cross bar, had a goal wrongly called back, missed sitters, etc. Seriously could have been 6+ goals if they could finish better.

Just awful. We started so well and then Kleber's injury and Fucile's red card totally took it out of us. Kudos to Zenit who came in the second half with the pressure of losing there first match and with a man advantage, they absolutely put there foot on our necks and we couldn't sustain for even a second.

I still like our chances of progressing but we absolutely have to beat APOEL and Zenit at home (should beat APOEL on the road as well) and get at least a tie vs. Shahktar in Ukraine.

    This was downright awful though.

We don't have AVB anymore. We need to get used to this from now on.

The best part of the game: Danny's celebration exemplifying the epitome Portistas around the world ;)

It's interesting how Sportem fans always make homoerotic innuendos when they smear their opponents.

Don't get me wrong, if that's how you swing, that's fine by me.

vaiamerda, obviously there will be a ton of pressure on VP to win the next few league matches and beat APOEL.

But this was our first loss of the season, aside from the Super Cup, and we're still in good position in the CL even after tonight's result.

Porto will still qualify I think, but it's nice to see a humbling scoreline and performance. All my Portista friends assumed this group would be a cakewalk.

I agree, however there seems to be a downward trend with no solution at hand until January.

With Klebber out, Walter, fat, and sitting on the bench, and VP's poor decision making I really don't see things getting better. Don't get me wrong, I like VP the man, but I'm not a big fan of his coaching.

Btw, APOEL surprisingly earned a 1-1 draw at Shakhtar. Group is really wide open now.

So the standings after 2 rounds:

    1. APOEL FC (4 points)
    2. Zenit (3 points)
    3. Porto (3 points)
    4. Shakhtar (1 point)

    Surprising APOEL

4 points from a win and a draw.

Teaches me a lesson to not underestimate anyone:cool:
