UEFA Champions League Group Stage Draw

So long as we avoid Inter, Real and Lyon I'll be happy. Those are the spoilers. Atletico and Bordeaux are the two I'd prefer to avoid in pot 3. I don't want Besiktas - playing in Istanbul is no picnic. (I've been to an Instanbul derby.....its an experience.)

Would not be at all surprised to get Inter.

 

I just saw the Fiorentina vs. Sporting Libson match. I don't want to see Chelsea have to go to Florence & play in that sand pit. That place is asking to hand out an injury

Is it a "Holy shit I'm glad to be alive" experience or a "Holy shit this is incredible but I feel safe" experience? I ask because those look fun.

That third pot has all solid teams really. I'd most like to avoid Atletico out of that group. Spanish sides seem to have been a pretty tough out in recent years. United drew twice with Villarreal and Liverpool drew twice with Atletico in last year's group stage iirc.

 

I would love to get Wolfsburg , never get the opportunity to see German teams and would be pretty sweet to finally see abit of Dzeko and Grafite.

 

Dunno if this is going to affect you a lot, but with the 6 game ban given to Drogba you ought not to fall in the group of death. How's Anelka for you in Europe?

 

The ban is 3 games but I agree, that will make it more difficult

 

Still ridiculous that a ban for mouthing off (Profanity or not) is three games. One I can agree with but seriously, UEFA dropped the ball on that match appointing a ref who had no experience for a match between those two teams given past tensions.

Oh and in case anyone doesn't know, the draw will be shown on FSC at noon.
