Besiktas were probably the worst CL team this season. I know Haaland is a beast, but we put 8 past Besiktas. I think a lower tier Liga side could put up a better fight than Besiktas.

When you play in an illegitimate garbage ass league like the Eredivisie, then you can afford to throw all your marbles in the CL. Don't forget, PSV got beat at home by a weak ass Benfica team. Says a lot about the quality of play in Holland.

Agreed, I'm a fan of how Ajax plays and the similarities in the youth development. Ajax have had the same coach for many years and a philosophy. We are still building our philosophy. This game was to give the next generation a chance to grow. Definitely don't mind seeing Ajax knock out a PSG or City. At least the fans aren't plastic

I also reiterated how illegitimate the Dutch league is. There is literally only one good team. That's it. ONE. Ajax can field their B team and smash on the lowly Eredivisie teams. Ajax spent 150+ million Euros in transfers the last three years. Sporting spent half of that in that timeframe. So comparing the two teams is absurd.
Ajax is a legit team. I believe this is the only time that they've conceded 2 goals this season with the exception of the Supercup and the first SCP fixture. I expect them to make it beyond the quarterfinals.
