Stuff like that is always a good sign of the strength of the overall system. We could very easily have had Harrison Burrows in that bracket in another world too.
A team of solely 2002 born options. Not saying I would start these players but just looking at the overall options. ………………….……Trafford Livramento….Cresswell….Branthwaite…..Cirkin ………………..Anderson…Morton Madueke………….Palmer…………….Rogers ……………………..Stansfield Subs - Tickle, Harwood-Bellis, Wood, Hill, Mengi, Philogene, McAtee, Hackney, Wilson-Esbrand, Rak-Sakyi, Sam Greenwood. 6 options have senior England appearances so far - 2002 - 6 - Cole Palmer, Jarrad Branthwaite, Noni Madueke, Morgan Rogers, Tino Livramento, Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
Reminds me of a young John Stones. Has a mistake in him but looks the business with the ball at his feet.
I remember watching van djik back when he was younger and he played similar to quansah. Like you say, had a mistake in him but very good with the ball at his feet. Look how that’s turned out for him, hopefully quansah can get somewhere in that realm of quality.
Quansah has secured a great move so hopefully he can kick on. Just need Elliot, McAtee and Morton to follow suit.
Overall, it has been very beneficial for this team to have a number of players in the squad whose futures are still undecided and who want to showcase themselves. Alongside Morton, Elliott and McAtee, we could mention Hutchinson, who clearly wants to stay in the Premier League, or there are others like Cresswell or Norton-Cuffy, who also want to prove they are good enough for the English top flight.
Can also add Illing-Junior to the list of those with something to prove and Hackney who might move this summer as well.
True, though Iling-Junior only proved so far that he's been vastly overrated. But even he can improve in the last (perhaps) 2 games, if he plays again.
Might be the last time I can ever bring this up. The last time France won a knockout game in this tournament Steed Malbranque scored (2002 U21Euro). Can they win today? I still find the above fact mental. They have had so much talent at this level for so long. Arguably one of the biggest failings in football with their talent production to have a record like that at a UEFA tournament.
Raymond Domenech was their manager back then (He was U21 manager for 11 years before he got the senior job in 2004.)
Defoe just mentioned Rooney brought his wedding video on England duty. No wonder we were getting knocked out in the group stages all the time.
I think Quansah has a great chance of going to the world cup with England. Just been reading the Scots forum and they have 5 eligible Scots. Quansah gray Livramento (though he's no longer eligible) Hackney Anderson. They're talking about Quansah but I honestly think only Hackney is a serious option for them
They could do worse than all going to Sunderland, been really good for English players the past few years.
