I'm just impressed how, as a right footed left-back, he's not afraid to go round the outside and get crosses in. Kierran Trippier and most of the PL's wide men could learn a lot from him.

Livramento and Djed Spence might be better at LB than they are at RB as right footers.

Yep. He would have been the ideal player for Southgate at a tournament rather than Trippier. Someone who CAN genuinely play on both sides

Suddenly our left-back issues aren't as worrying. Livramento hall and Lewis-skelly are nailed on as potential England left-backs for the next few years

Only one of those three will actually be a left-back in a few years imo.

Are you saying Tino is a RB and Skelly will move back to Midfield?

O'Reilly, Scarles, and Amass are all under 21 options for at least the next cycle who got pretty good game time there last season too so we are pretty well stocked.

Lewis Skelly staying left back would be a crime against football though, he's clearly a central midfielder and struggles at a lot of things a full back is actually meant to do. It'd be pretty damning of the premier leagues inability to develop academy midfielders if he just stayed shoehorned in at left back rather than properly developed as a central midfielder.

It's also possible that Hall ends up in midfield at some point. He might just lack the pace to become an elite left back.

While Lewis-Skelly seems destined to move up into midfield, l can see Tino Livramento flipping between right and left-back for some time yet. It makes him a mighty useful asset to any manager and, judging by the games I've watched, you could argue he actually looks better playing as a right-footer on the left.

Barring injury Livramento is nailed on to go to world cup. May even be starting. As long as Lewis Hall comes back from his injury OK Newcastle are going to have 2 of the best attacking fullbacks in the League.

Livramento got an ankle injury and missed the last two games of the season before the euros. If he hadn't had those injuries 23/24 he'd have got in.

Yes. Livramento is still good at left-back and can fill in there when needed but he's a bit too awkward technically to be at his best at the very top level in that role imo.

He only played about a 1000 minutes all season he had very little chance.

Bit of a selection poser for tomorrow, with only a couple of days between the games.
Rest some players for tomorrow given there's only a small break between the games, or bank on getting a result and using the third match to rotate and keep people fresh?

At the last tournament he made two changes between the 1st and 2nd matches, replacing Ramsey with Smith Rowe and Aarons with Johnson. So I can’t see loads of changes and possibly none for rest reasons,

Spain come back from 1-0 and 1 man down at 84 mins to win 2-1.

Meanwhile Tuchel is hoping to come at some point to watch them play at this tournament. McDermott and Ashworth are out there now.

Spain had 11 and Romania were down to 10, unless that's what you were trying to say.
