I haven't been to a match live this year (the North Goal Boycott), but maybe ctsoccer can fill you in. It's really hard to tell by the radio broadcast.
They looked real good on Saturday night. Rota didn't start but came in for Fernandez about 2/3 of the way through the half. He played good and meshes well with their forwards. He plays some quick defense too in the midfield. When Fernandez and Curtis leave after year, I think Rota is going to have to step it up a notch and be the leader in the middle. That will be the test. I haven't seen much of Leandro except to say he's been pretty steady and solid. I still can't get over how offensive minded they are this year compared to last year. I love it. Northgoal, you should be happy to hear that the boosters and the teams are working hard at raising money to get the stands back. I was talking with the girlfriend of the assistant coach (I play coed with her) and she says the team wants them back real bad. If this was the football team we would have solid gold ones by now.
I've heard the same things from various people in the program. I'm just making my point, plus I'm in a band and we've got some Saturday gigs that preclude me from going. I'm missing Maryland, but I'm going to try for some later matches, and to take a little trip to St. Johns for that big match.
