Well, I’m gonna need a minute to process this… EDIT okay 13 minutes later and reviewing our quadrant again, I think I’m okay with this. Seeing Stanford and USC right there gave me PTSD for some reason.
The Bruin RPI suffered big time by scheduling winless Loyola-Marymount, only playing Pepperdine in an exhibition and totally disgracing themselves in tie with Utah.

Well, well, well what happened to UCLA tonight? AC can get them to the tournament and then it peters out. Pretty shocking.
First Round: UC Irvine 1, No. 2 seed UCLA 0 Worst playoff performance in UCLA women’s soccer program history. The Bruins under Amanda Cromwell consistently play down to whoever they deem to be a “lesser” opponent.
Have to say this was a shocker but it does seem to be the same every year - lots of hype, lots of ego and attitude but unable to get the win when it really matters - Paper tiger?
I’m just glad I didn’t go in person to this crap of a game otherwise my voice would be gone and I would have maybe cried… This has to the worst performance in Bruin history. They ran on the field like they spent the whole week on a bender celebrating their PAC-12 title.
Sadly, this is the way the game is going. Less about individuals fitting into a coherent and effective TEAM structure and more about individual promotion, social media hype and style over substance. Works fine when you win or are on top, but less so when the chips are down and a team comes under pressure. I see it all over the country. Some teams are more into the individual promotion than others. Call me a hater, but I think the quality of the game has suffered for it
Yeah they definitely know us, we played them in one of our non conference matches and beat them 3-0 or something like that back in August. It’s one of the few games I missed and strangely I said on here I wouldn’t go to this 1st round match because it’s nothing and they should easily advance against UCI. I mean, I believe that’s the teams first win in an NCAA tournament and first time beating UCLA since 1995. They are definitely celebrating. As for me, it’s late night ice cream binge time and a Hallmark Christmas movie

Congratulations Reilyn Turner! Very exciting stuff. Looking forward to this "new era" for the Bruins. AC clearly had been checked out since last spring, and with the loads of talent UCLA pulls in they should be in the Final Four every year.
I think that’s awesome big companies are signing athletes without a big social media presence. Congrats to Turner on the deal!
