Looks like a 442 to me. Rashford and Lukaku upfront. Dalot, Fred and Mctominay supporting Pogba.

    This looks like a 433.

It could be a 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2. The personnel are present for both.

I doubt it's a 3-5-2. But it could be. It's less likely, because Ole has been pretty hesitant to play Dalot in defense. Further, I want Shaw to be more tucked than touchline to deal with Messi. I would like to think Phelan and Solksjaer see the same glaring need.

If that's 3 in the back with AY as one of the 3, then we deserve to get smashed.

Its most likely a 433. It could be Dalot at LW to help Shaw with Messi but who knows.

i thought about that but it would be lopsided to one side and not have balance. what would Dalot add there that say Pereira wouldn't? seems an odd 4 in mid.

3-5-2 makes zero sense with that 11 so it has to be 4-3-3 as far as i can tell with Dalot in the front 3 as we've seen a few times now

Relieved that it's apparently not a 3-5-2 obviously. How we lined up last vs Wolves and Dalot's presence is what had me thinking at first that we might be going 3 at the back.

Am curious to see however, if we're going 4-4-2, whether it's a flat 4 in midfield or diamond. The former would have me nervous with Pogs out on the left (as his influence probably would be reduced. A diamond with him directly supporting Rashford and Lukaku would be very interesting and more dangerous as well.

Dalot would add speed in transition.

Lukaku on his own, upfront, in a game like this plays into Barca's hands. Barca dominate possession, we know this. If it is indeed a 433, that would mean Rashford and Dalot end up auxiliary fullbacks. That means an isolated Lukaku who cant hold the ball up in those conditions.

Then you remember how they played in Paris and it makes sense.

Just saw Ashley Young in the tunnel. It's going to be a long night.

Above all else, want to see an improvement on the recent shit performances the team has put out recently. Here we go.

Lukaku needs to remember how Lenglet had him in his pocket last year over both legs of the Sevilla tie and hopefully will be wanting some payback.

Do you think Messi even knows who Ashley Young is?

Sure looks like 3-5-2 with Dalot LWB, Shaw LCB and Young RWB. Don’t think anyone had that as a guess.

Young is horrible. Just horrible. He's gonna get himself sent off a second game in a row.

Caught an early break here... And VAR turns it around, 0-1.

Way too easy for Barca so far who have been completely dominant and have us chasing shadows.

Young messing up the offside line...

Edit: on second look the whole line is awful on the first ball to Messi. Can’t blame Young solely

    Pathetic. ********ing pathetic.

Epspecislly from Ole. It's clear nobody in the back know where they're supposed to be. Shaw is tucked like he thinks he should be in a back 3 and Dalot is ball watching from the wing. ********ing ridiculous.

I dont get the love for Young Matic type players, they are shit, you are not going to make them better no matter what you do. I am starting to think Solskjaer is a poor appointment.

Shaw in a back 3 is one of the dumbest tactical decisions I've seen in a long time. It negates everything he's good at and highlights his weaknesses.
