Incredibly unethical! Sebastián Tagliabúe (Al Wahda) scores when side were returning the ball to Dubai
    Friday, December 27th, 2013

We’ve seen it before (Luiz Adriano in the Champions League) but it still shocks us nonetheless.

With Dubai 1-0 up, they kicked the ball out of play so a player could receive treatment for an injury,

Al Wahda did the right thing and kicked the ball back to the opposition goalkeeper.

Striker Sebastián Tagliabúe saw this as an opportunity and with the Dubai side all standing still, he went ahead and equalised for the away side.

Dubai were not best pleased and ended up drawing 1-1 due to the very controversial incident.

your opinion about the goal :coffee:

Adnan Hussain (left) played against Al Dhafrah after
the first-team secretary failed to notify the mangment

Al Ahli caretaker coach Catalin Raducan believes his side’s three-point deduction in the AG League will serve only to galvanise the team as they head into the second half of the season.

The decision was taken by the UAE FA’s disciplinary committee to dock Al Ahli three points for fielding a suspended player in Friday’s 3-1 win over Al Dhafra.

With Al Ahli leading 3-0, Adnan Hussain came on as a second half substitute despite being suspended for the game after accruing three yellow cards over the course of the season.

Despite the points penalty, Al Ahli remain top of the AG League, although that lead has now been halved.

While those inside the club were believed to be angered and frustrated at the oversight, Raducan claims that the team’s latest setback will only pull the players together.

Samaras is currently the frontrunner, being not only a similar fit to Valdez but also unhappy at Parkhead.
