What’s going on with this pitch? Players slipping all over.

very sloppy start for the usa....poor touches from cremashci and norris, in particular

they guys are slipping all over the pitch too

morrocco looks to be bunkering in.....usa needs to not foul and let morrocco turn it over in their own end

They let USA have some kind of false sense of superiority, considering they beat some of bigger teams on the way to quarterfinals

Here's the Morocco lineup, definitely a bit more first team experience than we've seen from other teams in this tournament

Goalkeeper: U21 keeper for Monaco, he did make the matchday squad once for the senior team in their opening Champions League match this season.

Left Back: Plays for Union Touarga in Morocco's top flight. He played a handful of matches for them last year though it was mostly in cup matches. He does sort of have a cap for The Morocco Senior team though that was in The African Nations Cup which is a tournament where countries can only use domestic based players (and he was only an 89th minute sub)

LCB: Starter for Strum Graz's second team in The Austrian 2nd Tier

RCB: Starter for Camburr in The Dutch 2nd division

Right Back: Was getting pretty regular minutes for Belgian Giants Anderlecht before leaving for this tournament

LCM: Came up through Lille's system, and joined Charleroi in Belgium's top flight this summer. He played about 45 minutes across 3 matches in the early part of the season

RCM: Left Reims to join Bologna this summer and was immediately loaned out to a Serie C. He played 13 minutes in their season opener but that's all.

LW: Venezia player. Got 3 Serie A matches for them last year but it only added up to about 25 minutes. They dropped down to Serie B and he has yet to play for them

RW: Got about 350 Ligue 1 minutes for Montpellier last season before transferring to Watford in The Championship this summer. He's only made the matchday squad once this year and didn't play

Striker: Joined Famalicão in Portugal's top flight in the summer of 2024. He didn't see the field last season, but did 47 minutes across 3 matches in the early part of this season

Striker: Starter for Dunkerque in Ligue 2 this season, also played about 2900 minutes for them the last two seasons too. He has plenty of first team experience. He already has a goal and 3 assists this season

Morocco doing what they're good at. Absorbing pressure and hitting on the break.

Maybe foul before goal? Or offside?

Cremaschi is better as a late arriving midfielder than playing this high. It’s leaving us with little in the box.

    Unfortunate defending.

That's the fastest pitch I think I've ever seen.
