But they've been doing such a good job of posting cute YouTube videos from carnivals!

We're about twenty minutes from all )(#* breaking loose within USWNT soccer.

And finally USA scores. They played the break quickly and made the right decisions & passes. Now time for another goal.

Leroux ties it up. Good play by Noyola to win it back. Hint of offside on the goal though.

I thought that, too, especially after seeing the replay. Great run, regardless!

The USSoccer pr people post very little actual soccer related videos/blog info for the women's teams. annoys the hell out of me. I suppose I should be happy that they're covering the U20's in Germany :shrugs:

But I said b/f the tourny started that Ellis will have to work hard to convince me of her international coaching abilities. So far, she hasn't. And the players aren't exactly doing a great job, either.

69' 1-1 Ghana turn to receive a poor pass just past midfield, #10 Teresa Noyola overruns vertically from deep and jousts possession away. She keeps going north in a 3-v-2 break, then passes diagonally right to #16 Maya Hayes in acres of space -- at 35m 6-right, Hayes is 1-v-1 with Mantey. Hayes dribbles hard to 10m 6right, crosses between a defender and #20 Patricia Mantey's dive. Ball proceeds to 5m center, #20 Sydney Leroux is not doing her Klose -- looked one good step beyond the defender's feet, easily taps in.

Verloo is the "go for the win" sub. Bywaters off. Come on USA!

I thought Bywaters had an ok game. Verloo is definitely a sign of intent to get a win.

EDIT: And she just had a decent chance go over.

I agree. She wasn't the worst of the bunch. I prolly would have left her on.

USA keeper saves well. Noyola kicks it WAY over the goal.

Great save by Henninger. Ghana have had a few decent looks the last few minutes.

    Shot too high from Noyola.

81' 1-1 #9 Florence Dadson shoots hard from box top arc left(?), waist-high through USA's screen, curling to the far post. #1 Bianca Henneger dives horizontally, touches it just wide. Ghana right corner achieves nothing.

They weren't diving, really. They were just doing that HIGHLY annoying I'm "injured" time wasting thing.

    thanks.

eta: the only urgency I've seen is that tackle on the sideline by Leroux. And she always seems to get in one really hard tackle a game.

    Come on USA.

84' 1-1 USA quick-passing sequence: #20 Amber Brooks, to #5 Kristie Mewis, to #19 Sydney Leroux at box top 6-right, going away from goal -- and Leroux didn't notice the fourth pass, an instant one-touch diagonal ball forward through box top right to #16 Maya Hayes cutting in through 15m box right, behind Ghana's unorganized left flank. Leroux gets swarmed by two defenders, and that passing lane closes.
