U17 lose to Costa Rica 2-1.

I'm trying to hunt down some more details, but thanks to the folks at the fed for a good summary.

Looks like the first choice team save Freddy, with the other strikers Ellinger has prominently noted, Szetela and Watson (former BigSoccer poster Jamie Watson I should say), splitting time at the other striker spot alongside Gaven. Marfuggi and Westberg share goalkeeping duties.

    Gersman,

Ive seen in your last two articles that you have listed Corey Ashe at left midfield. How has he looked there? because IIRC he started out as a forward.

The other question I have is how has Brian Grazier looked at Dmid, Ive seen that he starts pretty much every game but never gets talked about much.

    Thanks

So Freddy didn't play at all? This must've been an international youth friendly. That Jamie Watson kid was the "azsensation" poster wasn't he?

Freddy is playing for Region I against the pro youth sides. Yes, they are friendlies.

I forget Jamie's nick, it may have been his actual name, because he just came on and said i'm going to residency and talked all about it. Then someone posted the vince lombardi quote about leaving info in the lockerroom, and he disappeared.

johnaldo - we'll be writing a lot more about the U17s and i'll certainly get some details on the players you ask about and others.

His nickname was something like JamieWatson20, or something like that. But Im almost positive it wasn't him. I think it was just someone who knew him, because like a week after he posted that he was in residency, he started asking questions about the team and when the next games were. Which is really kind of dumb

Anyways, thanks Gersman and the site looks great

    Thanks JG

Taking my fanatico hat off. It's really no big deal for the score of this friendly, played just before the team comes home on a friday night, not to be reported. No reason the Fed press shop needs to be working late Friday just to put one result up on their page just so about 20 of us can thrill with the result :)
