The Midnight Riders, a New England Revolution independent supporters association, invite U.S. supporters to watch their national team take on Argentina this Saturday, February 8, 2003 at The OverDraught Pub in Cambridge, MA. The match will be broadcast LIVE at 12:00PM EST from The Orange Bowl in Miami, FL on ESPN2. The Riders have confirmed the telecast with management of The OverDraught. Not the best result, but not a bad way to start the day: free buffet with chicken wings (buffalo and honey glazed), macaronni & sauce, chicken & rice, etc. Probably about 20 fans there... not a whole lot, but better than the snafu of last time. The Magpie
I enjoyed myself! The free noodles, rice salad, and chicken wings helped (I gorged myself, had to have a really light dinner to cancel it out... oof!!). My girlfriend is a vegetarian, so she was out of luck. We ordered a sandwich for her and some drinks to take a little of the "sting" out of the cost of the free buffet. The Over Draught is a very nice place! I hope we can re-convene for the Japan game. Turnout was a bit lighter than for the Canada game, but not everyone wants to drag themselves out of the house on a saturday when there's a blinding coat of snow on the ground, I guess... Anyway, thanx to the Midnight Riders and the Over Draught for setting this up!
