Not seeing a lackadaisal NE, looks to me like an energized Fire.

I know that he has a lot of time develop, but I almost believe Cupps>Rogers right now.

Not sure who is better right now but Cupps is likely a better place to invest game minutes.

I hate to compliment Barlow, but he drew 3 defenders away from Zinkernagel on that scoring play.

Pete (supposes that's more on the defense than Barlow)

That’s because NE hasn’t been playing tired, and because the Fire made the right sub by bringing Guti in. It’s not like these players are Cinderella that turn into pumpkins in the 60th minute.

To be fair, Rogers has improved with playing time, but Cupps has been good every opportunity he gets.

Agree. Not trying to say Rogers is bad, just saying they are currently close to equal and Cupps appears to be progressing more quickly and have more upside potential.
Two players and only one development slot available.

Reynolds deserves that one. He was ball watching and barely caught up by pulling the jersey.

Leave it to Barlow to catch a flat footed out of position goalkeeper and deliver the ball directly to him. PB Barlow time at it’s finest.

I know there are a few asterisks...

...but I can't remember the last time I saw 4 wins in a row.

    Pete (is being spoiled)

Eh. It was a tough angle and hard to control. Would've been cool if he did, though.

    Official© Player Ratings:

    Starters:
Brady 6.0 - should’ve stopped that own goal.
Cuypers 9.0 - would’ve scored higher if he had boxing gloves to deal with Omberg’s bullshit.
MHS 6.0 - mostly invisible but had some moments
Dje 5.0 - mostly invisible but also not good when noticeable
Bamba 8.0 - I’m counting the first goal as his idc
Acosta 6.5 - not outright horrible so he gets graded on a curve
Gutman 6.0 - didn’t have to do much but did what was expected
Kouamé 5.0 - if I’m being generous, and I am
Everyone else 5.5 we’ll say. Yeah, that sounds right

    Subs:
Guti 10.0 - definition of a game changer
Barlow 3.0 - gets points for comedic value
Gonazalez 5.0 - gets points for still being alive
Everyone else 5.0 sound good, let’s go with that.

    Matt Reis 0.00 - ******** Matt Reis

As the copyright symbol denotes, these are official and inarguable. Not that anyone could debate them, but they aren’t open for debate. Go Fire.

He always had the option to pass or hold was more my issue. Instead he tried to force a shot from a tough angle. Harmless in context but still classic Barlow.

They came in fresh after others had put in 2/3 a shift, but Zinck and Guti brought F I R E to the pitch!

Cuypers, Brady, Gutman, MHS, Elliot, Cupps all solid.

Bamba, Acosta, Dje, Kouame, Glasgow didn't suck, by any means, but wanted more/better from all 5.
