Great to see a goal! Goalie looked a little suspect.
I was just getting a post ready.
Fire first team still working on playing ball out of back with occasional fails. Likely that a mixed/backup lineup would have even more trouble doing this.
Regarding NE, the team they put out there is more likely to make back row errors.
Seems to me that Fire should play more direct than usual. Not seeing this.
    Hope that is halftime message.

Yea...but the options are Guti & Sergio, so that means pushing Kouame or Acosta to CDM...not sure which stays.

Agree. He's also 21 I think and I believe they knew he'd be a bit of a project which is fine but no one is pulling the strings here. If Guti or Oragel comes in and stars spraying some through balls into the channels the wingers will have something to do which will give Cuypers something to do.

Kouame is rumored to be able to play as #6. Would like to see what he can do.

YES. No need to overthink this. Go direct. Put pressure on that backline. Hell they'll probably knock another one in their own net.

I mean, I might even push both back a bit. Flip the midfield around a bit. Or, Sergio sits back more (sure, he's got attacking skills, but he can really develop as a deep lying playmaker).

I 100% have classified Sergio as a Pirlo type Regista. Kid can spray 60 yard line breaking passes no problem. His vision is remarkable.

I was thinking Pirlo, too. Just didn't want to jump the gun a bit yet with him.
    Unlike Brady, who's Naperville Buffon.

I was looking forward to see more of Kouane. As a sub, he comes out with a lot of energy and attacks. I was hoping to see that for a full 90.

    Definitely not Naperville's Manuel Neuer.

Looks like you got your wish! He's playing well enough to keep him out there...
Dje having a yellow should be subbed...
Acosta being meh should be subbed...

Kouame hasn't bothered me much today as much as Acosta and especially D'Avila. With him sitting on a yellow and no real CAM happening I hope Guti comes in soon.

And of course it rained at half making the pitch even worse. Let’s get another goal and empty the bench.

I'd send Barlow to warm up....Hugo has taken more than enough dings tonight.
Or move MHS up top and bring on Zinck.
