Thought i'd go ahead and get this started, the game is a couple weeks away. Chicago has been horrible so far in MLS, so we definitely have a decent chance at an upset if we field a strong team which we should.
Our spring season will be over, so we might as well field the strongest team we can. An upset here would be fantastic.
Well, hopefully the team can carry on the momentum of being crowned spring champions into the Chicago game! Lets roll out a full strength line-up and take it to 'em.
The next game after Chicago isn't until the 26th, and that's a friendly. There's no reason to hold anything in reserve. Let's play like champions.
So, it's the best team in NASL vs. the worst team in MLS. I think we have a good shot. They have sucked since they changed owners.
The Fire are fielding their strong line-up and Indy is as well. Starting XI is as follows: Zayed, Braun, Lacroix, Paterson, Ring, Mares, Vukovic, Janicki, Falvey, Franco Bench is as follows: Cardona, Miller, Palmer, Shaffer, Keller, Ubiparipovic, Youla
Definitely could use a break at halftime I think, we do look tired. Paterson in particular has given away possession multiple times now.
Got away with a few there in the first half, though we got a couple decent chances at the end. Probably good we get to go into half and calm down here. Mares has looked dangerous throughout the half, i'd look for him in the second.
HT. A few bits of nice play toward the half, but on the whole that was not an impressive performance. It definitely looks like major league vs. minor league.
We've had some stretches here where we've done a good job of keeping the ball and moving it around. Still missing the final touch, but some decent play.
