    Lista dos 23 convocados:
    Guarda-redes: Diogo Costa (FC Porto), Joel Pereira (Manchester United) e Pedro Silva (Sporting CP);
    Defesas: Fernando Fosneca (Estoril), Ivanildo Fernandes (Sporting CP), Jorge Fernandes (FC Porto), Diogo Dalot (FC Porto), Rúben Dias (Benfica), Francisco Ferreira (Benfica), Pedro Amaral (Benfica) e Yuri Ribeiro (Rio Ave);

    Médios: Rúben Neves (Wolverhampton), Xadas (Sp. Braga), Pedro Rodrigues (Estoril), João Carvalho (Benfica), João Gamboa (Marítimo), Pedro Delgado (Sporting CP), Rafael Barbosa (Sporting CP), João Félix (Benfica) eGil Dias (Fiorentina);

    The attack looks really weak without Guedes.

    Ruben Vinagre, the leftback on loan from Monaco, has been starting for Wolves and been playing extremely well. I'm shocked he hasnt been called up as he's far better than any other leftback on the squad.

    Epic comeback in the second half.

    We have some great players coming up here and in the u19's (just qualified for the u19 euros that lost in the final last year with the same core group...which also won the u17 euros 2 years ago)

    Dalot, Joao Felix, Leao all look promising.

    Still need better centrebacks and a leftback.

    A selecção portuguesa de sub-21 venceu esta sexta-feira a congénere italiana, por 3-2, em jogo de preparação disputado no estádio António Coimbra da Mota, no Estoril.

    Um “bis” de Diogo Jota (12’ e 19’) motivou uma resposta transalpina, com Parigini (28’) a reduzir antes de Diogo Gonçalves (43’) levar Portugal com dois golos de vantagem para o intervalo.

    A Itália reduziu por Bonazzoli (59’ g.p.), tendo a equipa portuguesa sustido a pressão final.

    Portugal integra o grupo 8 de apuramento para o Europeu de 2019, a dois pontos da líder Bósnia-Herzegovina, enquanto a Itália é a organizadora da fase final.

    A Seleção Nacional de sub-21 venceu, esta terça-feira, no País de Gales, por 2-0, mantendo-se na luta pelo apuramento para o Europeu de 2019. André Horta (35 minutos) e João Félix (73) fizeram os golos, numa partida em que os comandados de Rui Jorge jogaram a última meia hora reduzidos a 10 (Yuri Ribeiro foi expulso por acumulação de cartões amarelos).

    Portugal passa agora a somar 16 pontos, menos dois que a líder Roménia (venceu a Bósnia também por 2-0). A Seleção Nacional, para manter esperanças no apuramento, terá de vencer os dois próximos jogos, ante Liechtenstein (11 de outubro) e Bósnia (16 de outubro).

    I had a feeling it would play out this way. It's nice to see Portugal take care of business as it did when it had no room for error. I'm guessing Bosnia is pretty damn sick of facing Portugal when in these win-to-advance scenarios.

    I think my favorite was the last one, which belongs to Joao Filipe even if it was stolen as it crossed the line. The goal from Goncalves was nice, but the defending during his run was laughable.
