Group F: USA Paraguay Germany South Korea 1st round matches (all eastern time): 3/27 - Paraguay vs USA 10:45 am 3/30 - Germany vs USA 10:45 am 4/2 - USA vs South Korea 1:30 pm First two teams and possibly a third can qualify out of this group.. This is what it boils down to for Convey and Quaranta.. 1st place in Group F gets us a match vs the #2 seed in Group E which contains Ireland, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and the Ivory Coast.. Definite advantage to winning this group.. Match played on 4/6 2nd place in Group F gets us a match against the #2 seed in Group B which contains Argentina, Spain, Uzbekistan and Mali.. Ouch, very ouch baby.. Were better off finishing 3rd in this instance.. Match plays on 4/6 3rd place will give us two options (if we qualify that is..) 4 third place teams will advance (most likely through superior goal difference).. Option #1 is playing the #1 seed from Group D which contains Colombia, Egypt, Japan and England.. That match will be played on 4/5 Option #2 is playing the #1 seed of Group C which contains Brazil, Australia, Canada and the Czech Republic.. Match played on 4/6 Quarterfinal matches are to be played on 4/9 Semi's are on 4/12 and the final and third place match are on 4/16.. So basically, if the USA fails to get out of group play, Bobby and Santino will be in uniform against KC on April 12th.. If the USA gets to the first round and fails to advance, they could still be back in time for the opener in KC..
