Sure would be nice to have this on TV but I guess this is better than nothing. USsoccer will have it on matchtracker. http://www.ussoccer.com/home/default.sps
Yep.. It's better than nothing. Sometimes there's lulls that drive you crazy but they do try. Now I'm hearing that GolTV has the finals. Darn.. I was hoping for someone else so we could all see Freddy if the US makes the finals. Maybe there's still hope.
I think to avoid crashing matchtracker, which in the past has been fragile, we should have a couple people post each update - just copy and paste - on a thread on this forum so that some of us can still follow along but not risk crashing the whole damn thing and leaving all of us incommunicado.
Probably a good idea, but I don't think you can copy and paste off of matchtracker because it's flash, so someone will just have to re-type all the info off of matchtracker.
I can never get the damn thing to work. The screen comes up. I can open the players box. BUT the play by play NEVER opens. So I'll second the motion about posting text here.
I've never has problems with it. Are you on AOL, perhaps? Lots of things don't work correctly on AOL.
Ok... what's a "Sportscenter"?? ___________________________________________ "ESPN ratings for soccer suck because they can't do a decent job of presenting the sport" - quinella box, on 2/17/03
He means ESPN's daily sports highlight and news program. If you were seriously asking. Oh.. I see by your sig you must be joking. Duh.. I personally doubt they will have any highlights because I know what would be involved as far as getting the clips from there and I don't expect them to go to the trouble for us and soccer in this case. They will have to arrange for someone there who has the video to have it uplinked to a satellite and it means phone calls and things that mean work for ESPN beyond the normal call of duty.
Galavision/Telefutura will have the finals in Finland. Gol TV plans to televise the South American qualifiers in Bolivia.
Great... That's what I thought. Someone posted that it would be GolTV so I thought the original deal fell through. A lot more of us get Galavision/Telefutura.
A little fact. "The United States is the only country in the world to qualify for all previous nine under-17 world championships."
There's a Guatemalan sports radio station that has real audio (they have a game involving the league team Municipal on right now). http://www.lared.com.gt This is the simplest web page I've ever seen for a radio station. There is no schedule, nothing, just links to three speeds for the real audio connex. If you understand Spanish it might be worth a shot.
u-17s and u-16s To get technical ... Only the first three tournaments were U-16s, and then they changed to U-17s. In all the history surrounding the tournaments, they include the 16s and 17s history together. Either way, we've been there, the others haven't. And here's hoping we're going again ...
