Seems very clear from the statement that Adams has been dealing with a "muscular problem". I think the foot issue was an inconvenient follow-on knock but NOT the continuing root issue. How do you say cautious optimism in German?
Thank goodness... because I re-read my post several times looking for anything that could be misconstrued.
Everywhere I look he still figures out with a "groin injury." No mention of any foot issues. Examples: https://www.teamfeed.co.uk/injuries-suspensions/football/europe/uefa-champions-league/injuries https://www.flashscore.com/match/UFQEAJhC/#lineups;1
Nice sources... I will have to bookmark them. Rep. We know he is back in training... and at least the 1st one says he is "Day to Day"... that sounds relatively positive based on "Few Days" or longer. Maybe he gets subbed in this week in the DFL match? <crossing-fingers>... he has been out for so long now... the host for United State of Soccer on Sirius said news regarding Adams being back on the pitch is like hearing about a Yeti or White Whale.
I'm not sure why there's so much questioning in this thread about the existence of his foot injury. Here's a quote from Adams' interview in Bild published in September "The adductor injury has long healed. At the beginning of August I was back in training. Then I got a hit on the foot. Not bad! The next day I woke up and my foot was really thick. Unfortunately, that threw me back again. " https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/...sorgen-mache-ich-mir-nicht-64522740.bild.html
Have no problem if they work him back slowly. On the bench here, a 20 minute cameo there, etc. And hopefully by the time the next international window is over, he's back to 100% and can get a nice run of games in before the winter break.
Well, he's not not available for this week's match. I guess that counts as good news? Tyler Adams not listed as unavailable or doubtful in Leipzig team news. I wouldn’t to expect him to play in the upcoming match but hopefully this is a good sign. #USMNT https://t.co/K3yPBoiRDN— USMNT Updates (@USMNT_U) October 29, 2019
Ideally, we would see him get some minutes in the 2nd half... and then play against Mainz this weekend. I don't really understand why someone would even be listed on the gameday roster if they can't play. I get the worst case scenario thing... i.e. if someone gets injured... but still, that would mean the player is ready to hit the pitch. The coach said the plan was to bring him along slowly... but the team could sure use him right now as it hasn't been in the best form: 2W, 2D, 2L over their last 6 competitions.
Unfortunately I only view this as “we’ve forgotten to include Tyler in unavailable, as it’s been forever and simply forgotten he was on the team” until I see that beautiful #14 destroying opponent’s attacks on the pitch.
If it's Tuesday it must be time for another Adams absence makes the mind grow darker post... Today's cultural reference: "it's as good as a mile"

One of my favorite digs at Germans is this joke I heard in England: "German humour is no laughing matter"
