    Whoa chill.

I’m not making comparisons between those two players at all. They both have to fit into Tedesco’s system, which is similar to what I remember him employing at Schalke. Laimer beating Tyler is simply him being a better fit. Soccer is nuanced.

I do wonder where Tyler will be post WC. That’s when the move will come for sure.

The chair of the Investigation Committee in charge of enforcing the rules is none other than our dear Sunil Gulati, That can give you a clue.

It simply made no sense whatsoever to not start (or play for that matter) Tyler in the reverse fixture against Rangers given his dominance in the 1st game... especially considering how RBL got whipped over the weekend against Gladbach w/ the Kampl/Laimer pairing. That is pure logic. And I am chill.

Financial Fair Play was a complete failure. They weren’t able to enforce the most obvious of violations. Let’s hope this newly rebranded version has more teeth.

Bayern often convinces players to run out their contract and move on a free (not sure if that's the case with Laimer), or they're very good at getting players on the cheap - players that have fallen out of favor at their clubs. They only have two players in their history that they've paid more than $50MM for. That's why FFP doesn't affect them. But also FFP is about how much revenue you make by all means (sponsorships, jersey sales, etc...), and big teams that have a worldwide fanbase make a lot of revenue. FFP is the rich getting richer, but I think Bayern plays within the rules. Unfortunately their appeal is such that they can easily poach other Bundesliga players.

I have no doubt that Audi, Adidas, and Allianz help Bayern get around FFP just like any other huge club. None of them play by the rules

Time for a change IMO. He has played too well of late to not get any starts down the stretch. So under appreciated.

There's still a chance they could fail to qualify for the Champions League today if they lose, and if Freiburg beat Leverkusen. Both games are scoreless at the half right now, so I imagine nobody's feeling all that comfortable at the moment.

RBL down a goal now. Adams finally on. IMO Kampl and Laimer have played too many minutes lately. It is like the entire squad gets rotated except those two.

Heck of a last minute goal for Leipzig to preserve a CL spot. Adams did well again, mostly on the defensive side.

If Laimer leaves, I think Adams is looking like a starting CM on a Champions League team.

That isn’t assured at all. Tedesco has given him minimal minutes down the stretch despite playing strongly in his recent appearances. Remember that Kampl is still there and Haidara will be back. Plus, RBL could bring someone else in. I think it is time for Adams to move on from the Red Bull organization.

If they bring someone else in, for sure.

They also might sell Nkunku this summer. Not sure how that changes things.

At any rate, Adams is one guy I'm not really too worried about. Some questions about durability aside, I think he'd have plenty of teams in various leagues happy to grab him, provided the price was right of course

Add another trophy to the Yanks Abroad cabinet. Tyler comes in with Leipzig a man down and plays well in Leipzig's win on penalties in the DFB Pokal final.

My dream is still to have a YA forum trophy case thread that is stickied to the top of the front page. This would make a nice addition. Mods, if you are out there, we should honor team and individual success. Let's make it happen.
