Bad outing last time, got dropped. This is life, perhaps.

I repped you for your consistency. It is remarkable. I am a bit surprised he isn't starting because he usually is on the bench in the CL. Hope he comes in as a sub and does well.

That Augsburg keeper is saving everything. Even a PK.

Being on the bench might mean he gets to man mark Mane on Tuesday.

One can hope.... but he has not started a CL game since the run started in October.

Well the PK was retaken and the second time Olmo finally scored. And then RBL scored another. 2-0 at the break.

Tyler was good today. Made a few progressive passes and was his usual self on defense.
Should’ve had at least one assist. It’s unfortunate that a team trying to contend with Bayern Munich have poulsen and sorloth as forwards. Neither are near good enough to lead the line for a Bundesliga winning club. They need a 9 badly.

Someone like Timo Werner would be perfect for their style.

He started a bit shaky but settled down after the yellow card. He had two very good runs/passes and neither were put away by the strikers... Poulsen and Sorloth each had a legit window to shoot and both just waited too long... kind of unfortunate that the guys receiving the balls were the two slowest on the offense. It has been discussed that good strikers do not have to have elite pace but these two guys seem too slow to thrive at the position [e.g. score 10+ in a BL season]. Poulsen is certainly better and has reached that mark in the BL before but I think he has lost a step. Still does the little things well for a 9... physical and tough... able to hold up play and distribute... but given a thru ball where he needs to make space and shoot?... he has been found a bit wanting this season. I have not been impressed with Sorloth at all.

All-in-all... a pretty good sub appearance for Tyler... but I still expect him to start the CL game on the bench. If he does start it will likely be at RWB.

Looks like he's playing centrally also. Hope it's true...

It does kind of look like that. I hope so... it means Sabitzer would be playing more forward.

Pretty sure that this is Adams' first start in a CL game... and against Liverpool to boot. Should put some people's worries to bed WRT Adams not impressing the coach. A big game today would go a long way as well. Again, I fully expect Nags and Sabitzer to be gone next season so if Adams plays well down the stretch I think he will be a primary option at CDM next season... perhaps under Marsch.

He is probably playing RWB so has to deal with Mane tonight.

You are likely correct. I completely missed Kampl's name the 1st time I looked at the starting 11.

I've only watched 5 minutes. 2 awful errors gift Liverpool 2 goals.

Tyler was pretty good. He had a great pass that any forward at this level would’ve finished. But Leipzig messed up their forward recruiting and is stuck with hwang.

still want him in Kampls spot.

Yea I thought he did well too. The last 15-20min from him were good apart from a poor pass back into the 18 which he botched, and was saved by an Angelino’s yellow card foul.

Mukiele with one of the worst attempts at a clearance that I have ever seen. Tyler looked decent enough going forward in a position not natural to him. Hwang should have finished that, it is what keeps Leipzig in the second tier of teams. They needed someone ruthless like Werner last year. Sorloth, Hwang, and Poulson are not the answers if you are trying to win the Bundesliga or CL unfortunately.

RBL are still a great team and fantastic spot for Tyler. I think being forced out wide is developing Tyler's game and will make him an even better CDM option.

The Sane goal wasn't on him? I didn't watch so I'm curious on the defensive side of it.

If you mean Mane, judge for yourself here:
