    Adams vs Arsenal

Came on at 1-1 in the 70'. Glad to see him back.

He did exactly what he was expected to do, shore up the D, prevent any transitions and protect the back line. Scott scored a beauty to go up 2-1, watch that run off the ball then perfect first touch and then a nonchalant golazo. Really like him, hope he squeezes into the England WC squad.

Adams had couple short passes, a turnover on a blind flicked pass and couple cleared headers. Did have a full rip from top of the box that was immediately blocked...after he box-to-boxed about 70 yards. Our boy!

Was great defensively, did his part. Had a semi cruncher to stop a transition, nice and clean. Ran with his men well on their runs and bodied Trossard to shepherd out for a goal kick.

My favorite (and why he's world class at this specific skill).. hard to describe but bear with me. Bournemouth in a high press, Adams sprints to eliminate the CM/6 outlet option..ball goes back to keeper to launch it first time, Adams immediately turns to sprint back to be in position when the Bournemouth CB wins the header.. calmly cleans it up and moves it along for possession. Rewatched that several times, really special subtle stuff.

Prediction.... Carrick isn't retained by Man U, Iraola is hired, and he buys Adams.

if he ever comes back to the States, it had better be here in the tri-state area...or else I will have "words" with his family!!!

Speaking of Bournemouth… reports suggest they’re close to naming Marco Rose as their new manager. I don’t think Rose and Tyler Adams ever truly overlapped at Leipzig—Adams departed in 2022, and Rose arrived that same year. Still, Rose’s style typically favors aggressive, high-energy ball winners who play at pace, very much in line with the Red Bull philosophy Adams embodies.

Sounds like he'd be a good hire for Adams. I wonder how much Adams himself, being one of the first names on the current team sheet plays into the clubs thoughts in their new manager search

    Adams vs Newcastle

Came in at 65' at 1-0, ended 2-1 Bournemouth. They haven't lost a game since they sold Semanyo, 2 months ago.

Adams had immediate impact with a cruncher and then another dispossession right after. Beautiful. Then proceeds to have horrible turnover when trying to turn with the ball in his own half.. man he's just so bad on the ball, uggh. Then a bad header direct to other team.

Had a couple decent moments towards the end but just meh for me. Christie and Scott are so much better than him right now. He's no longer a lock starter, sorry.

Bournemouth win 2-1, keep the streak going.

Adams is on the bench. Bournemouth hosting Leeds (Aaronson starting!). With Leeds now safe, I guess we root for Bournemouth.

Reality is he has lost his locked in spot. This isnt an injury/minutes thing. Scott is balling out lately and Christie has been exceptional as well. Their ability on the ball outweighs Tyler's, albeit amazing, one-dimensional skillset.

Hope he gets some good minutes at least today.

I'm not all that worried about him getting a bit rest, tbh. It's barely been 2 months since he came back from the knee and he had another little niggle in there as well, irrc. Except to the extent he can help B'mouth stay ahead of Chelsea I'm not sure a little rest while working on fitness and health is the worst thing in the world.

I wouldn't say I'm worried about it, but it is a bummer that he lost his starting place.

Subbed on in the 73rd today.
