For everyone's reference, the yellow was a professional foul to stop a break in the last few minutes and not a reckless challenge or him being caught out of position or undisciplined.
I was able to catch about 20 minutes of the game today. There was one moment where Tyler took the ball and made an aggressive slaloming forward dribble for about 30 yards. It didn't lead to anything much, but it was a skill I don't associate much with him in my viewing experience (and I'll be the stats back it up). He looked so quick today, and his body control seems better than ever. I was extra impressed with a lot of small things about his play.
Tyler vs Brentford He was back! Played great, one of his better games in the past few months (even before injury). Started with great intensity was buzzing around the field, breaking up plays, closing lanes, tracking runners, and high press. Seemed to have his timing back in full. With the ball... really good. Quick turns and pushing into space, actually made a couple forward runs and found himself in the box a few times early on. Who dis. A few nice progressive one line breakers that we havent seen in a while. Still pretty safe but always quick and fast with his decision. That one beauty of quick feet to escape danger and go on the break, super nice. Defensively, fired up and intense. Getting in on tackles and rightfully so got a yellow for a sliding lunge thing... but he don't care. Chased back a few times to disrupt and deep run into the box, gave the advert sign a nice kick for added excitement. He was on. Disciplined and intense. Great game for our boy. Hope he keeps that confidence on the ball. 11 day break for the Cherries.
espn.com with a report today that Chelsea, Liverpool and ManU are monitoring TA and considering summer offers https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_...an-utd-chelsea-liverpool-eye-usmnt-star-adams
I don't remember him much as an outside back but they usually show a lot more attacking chops than what he's shown recently. I did watch him a lot at RBL and as one of two CM's he would attack at times and then also played that hybrid RB / CM role. I don't know if it's instructions or he's gotten more safe but I do think he could do more and especially if partnered wit another CM he trusts defensively.

From a Bournemouth local reporter: Alexander Smith on X: "Tyler Adams felt something in training yesterday and they decided not to risk him today - sounds purely precautionary and nothing major. #afcb" / X
Tyler has gotten smarter about keeping healthy. Younger Tyler wouldn't have said anything, played his heart out and then been out for 2-3 months.
Part of me can't help but wonder if this is one of those "injuries" that is diagnosed more to protect the player from NT duty than anything else. Maybe its a combo of that and what you're saying: the Adams of old might've gone to camp "hell or high water" but now recognizes the benefit of declining a call-up every now and then...
The old Adams would not do that, but 27 is around when I started factoring in my own longevity to my decision making lol
Tyler Adams is the difference maker in a 0:0 draw where they out-possessed and out-shot their opponents, who are in a relegation battle and who have allowed the most goals in the league?
