Anybody's guess, but I think France and Italy are favourites to go through.

Of course, I hope for the NL to make it out of the group stages. Definitely not impossible. A good result against Italy would help ;)

I'm not sold on France. My personal picks would have to be Italy and Holland.

If someone would force me to say it, I'd go for Holland and Italy as well.

Based on what? Nothing, really. Might as well be Romania and France. I think if either Italy and/or France underestimate Romania, it could very well be their downfall.

Gotta love this group. So damn hard to predict anything.

Now, now mattteo, that's the kind of thinking we have to avoid :)

Italy & Holland. Not because they play the best football but because they prove to be the most effective.

Tough group all around... any game can swing and any two teams can see their way through in my opinion.

However, I believe you have to go with recent results... Italy, crowned as world champions two years ago, should see their way through after qualifying first in a tough qualification group. Netherlands finished behind Romania in their qualifying group and have had poor finishing throughout qualifications (only 15 goals scored in 12 games). France were able to earn a trip to the EUROs for good play but with the help of some favorable, yet heartbreaking results for Scotland. In my opinion, Scotland were a superior team than France in qualifications (having beaten France twice both home and away). A nice surprise was Romania who finished above Netherlands in their qualifications group. Romania are a team that can shock others especially in the group stage.

I would pick Italy and surprise Romania to move forward. Neither the Netherlands nor France really impressed in the group stages. However, these are all close-calls, goals will be decisive.

Definitely not counting Holland out... Each game in the group stage of Group C could swing either way, could likely be some of the most exciting games of the tournament...

Same here...but that is just me choosing Holland over France to fit the question in a 50/50.

Not completely true, although our level of play is usually not too good in qualifying.

In 88 we had a pretty lousy qualifying campaign btw :)

Qualified thanks to a refereeing decision if I remember correctly. Same thing happened in 74!

We do always do well at the euros for some strange reason. Better than at the world cup.

    Italy & Romania through.

Not a doubt in my mind.

Funny how the Romanians are the only confident posters in Group C.

Well, I thought Holland and France; my prediction was Holland make it at least to the semi, and possibly win it this year!

Wow, you're an idiot. It was one poster who was confident, dont stereotype just based off of 1 poster. OH! And Romania and Italy... not a doubt in mine or Toonsie's mind. (On a side note..) Of course this group is unpredictable. Seriously, there should be no surprises, because anything can happen.

Yes, all 2 of us.

Why shouldn't we be confident? We finished first in our qualifying group and haven't been to a major tournament since 2000. We're ready.

And she has a hot sister, so be nice to her :D
No offence but I think Romania will struggle to even get 1 point in this group
Also what up with your avatar, is that blood on Chivu's face??
