    1. Anything in England (rumors, press, etc.) about ManUtd's interest in Freddy Adu, the 13 year old American prodigy? Truly believe he needs to get international experience to be the best he can be.

    2. Any ManUtd watering holes in Dallas/Ft. Worth?

    Thanks.

According to what news service? None that I've seen, so without a source, this is speculation.

I'm sorry for the newest village idiot's ramblings.

Young Mr. Adu has not signed with anyone as of yet--his mother turned down an offer from Inter about a year or so ago. There have been some mentions in print regarding Adu in general (Newcastle, Liverpool, United)--normal tabloid stuff.

As for the Dallas question, that's for another person to answer.

No Man Utd places in town that I know of (but I've only been here about a year). At least, there's nothing like Nevada Smiths here. The Dubliner, I hear, is a Celtic friendly bar.

I'll be watching the replay of Newkie vs ManUtd today on the big screen at Chez Bigtoga :)

Dallas is not good for soccer watching, although since I left, I believe a place on Greenville is showing tons of USMNT and MLS matches. The only bars that are club loyal are the Dubliner for Celtic and the Londoner for Rangers. I used to go to the Dubliner quite a bit to watch replays of Premier League matches, but they won't open early to show them live and they won't get PPV matches unless they are Cup finals and what not.

Included in the list of soccer-friendly pubs and bars should be Ben's Halfyard House. I've yet to actually go myself but, whenever the question of "Where to watch soccer in Dallas?", someone always says to go to Ben's.

Havn't checked this or anything, but I remember looking through the FSW 'pub guide'. You might want to check it, its on the FSW site.

    thanks
