    Excerpts:

While [Nick] Figueiredo waits to hear from the Revolution he is pursuing trials abroad in Denmark and the United Kingdom.

[Nate] Lovitz graduated high school six months early to go overseas and work with the English Championship League team Watford. Unable to sign a contract without forfeiting his college eligibility, Lovitz returned to the United States where he led the Polar Bears from the backfield for his four years.

Lovitz has been invited to play with the semiprofessional team Northwood Football Club in England for the preseason and hopes to be scouted by a professional team in the UK.

Northwoods... that was Jay DeMerit's first English team. Are they trying to establish themselves as a pipeline for American collegians who want to play in England?

Lovitz - I can play in the Premiership. In fact, I am going to be a big star there. Bigger than Ronaldo and Rooney and all those R's. Ya, that's it. That's the ticket.
