Yeah, if Vines is clearly better in Berhalter’s mind, then I think he should go. But if it’s a close call, then I think Pierie should given his versatility.

Gifted a shot for the go-ahead goal to Heracles to make it 2-1 against, by making a poor clearance to an attacker at the top of the box, but Twente equalized to 2-2 now.
To be clear, Pierie could have been credited with an own goal on Heracles' first, and the assist on Heracles' second ... not a great day at the office.

Much as I hate Twente, this has been a good move for Kik. Getting a lot of games, and while Twente is treadingwater midtable, Pierie needed minutes in the Ered, and that's what he's getting. Doubt he makes the final cut for the U21s, but it does mean he is showing enough to still be considered a reasonable prospect in N'lands.

Watched the whole match. Apart from a short span in the second half FC Twente was subordinate to AZ Alkmaar. Especially the Twente midfield was sub par this match, which made the job for the defense not an easy one, mildly speaking. Kik was in line with the mediocre performance of the whole team, so a match to forget. It was a weird match with 3 own goals scored, 2 by Twente and 1 by AZ Alkmaar.
Didn't make the final roster for the U-21 UEFA championships. He is still eligible for the 2023 edition of the tournament will be interesting to see if he will hold out for the Netherlands until then or if he makes the switch to us
He has over 7000+ minutes as a CB plus a little at LB in the Eredivisie and he won't turn 21 till this summer. That's a massive amount of pro experience in a very good league at such a young age. Not sure what's going to happen to him from here but I'd love to have him. We're going to need more that 4 CBs this summer. Getting cut from the Dutch U-21s can only help our cause.

Twente lose 2-1 on a 90+5 PK... 3 pks... yikes. Pierie was called for an "unfortunate" handling on the 1st Vitesse PK. Didn't seem involved in the 2nd.
I will hand it to you... yes, that was awful. But the first two PK were for handling. Last was open play... at 90+5 ouch.
Saw the match and Vitesse was by far superior to Twente, but failed in the box. Kik got an unfortunate pk after he headed the ball away with a very dangerous low header, but the ball returned immediately from a Vitesse shot that hit him on his upper arm. Match was mediocre as was Twente. Kik didnot excell, but neither was he bad. I would rate his performance with a 6.
