this was in the Inside Track a few days agao and I didn't see anyone mention it http://www2.bostonherald.com/news/inside_track/track05212003.htm
I've knew right from the get-go that the bastard was nothing but a shill for a consortium of Transglobal Pizza Interests. Next he'll want to start drawing a salary for playing the game. Hruumph.
Slippery Slope to Selling Out You heard it here first, but Taylor will also be on the cover of the Improper Bostonian. Time Magazine apparently were outbid by the more prestigious weekly A woman I know is a harirdresser and gave him a haircut and made him up for the photo shoot. She didn't remember his name at first, but said that he was "blond and a cutie." Hmmmm, I was hoping she was talking about Rusty Pierce, since he's the one who could really use a haircut, but it was TnT. Since she didn't know a lot about the Revs, I filled her in on his exploits. She was duly impressed, and said she wished she knew all this at the time she met him. Oh yeah, one other thing, Taylor apparently didn't care for the lip gloss they made him wear. Hey, as long as the article is along the lines of the one they did a few years ago where several revs wore tuxes ("Why can't these guys score," which was a positive piece about them being good guys, but sucking on the field), as opposed to the NY Times fashion page on the WC players, I'll be happy... Tom
I think this is all very good for the game of soccer, and also will be excellent fodder for making fun of him. Lip gloss? Nice.
I'll bet he's getting a bit of ribbing from his mates as well Good way for him to get some money beyond the Cap. Surely this was a lot of what was being discussed last year at contract time.
No, cause most of them will appear in the Improper Bostonian as well. There were something like 10 Revs at the shoot.
I think it was the New York Times Magazine, not New Yorker. Anyway, let's hope the Revs don't make fools of themselves like the Nats did.
this is outrageous! what is this country coming to when parents start paying for their children to have oral se... oh, wait this is a labron james reference...nevermind... props to emily latillia!
... and in case anyone's interested, the following is a quote from the interview by Jonathan Soroff inside: Jonathan Soroff: "How about a pet peeve with the fans?" Taylor Twellman: "They're not loud enough. Sometimes, they're just too quiet." 'Nuff said. The Magpie
When will steriods make itinto MLS? TnT should be the first to sign up. A hunk????? His teeth are bigger than his chest.
Re: Slippery Slope to Selling Out If Donovan can wear eye shadow in the 'it's my game' commercials, then Twellman can wear lip gloss
from the ib interview: JS: how about a pet peeve with the fans? TT: they're not loud enough. sometimes, they're just too quiet. JS: turn-offs? TT: bad teeth. bad breath. b.o.....obnoxiousness hey, with answers like these...i think he's got some beef with the riders or something? oh, and one more tidbit....you'll just have to pick up the 'zine to see which one of his teamates he'd kiss if he had to pick one. (hint: i think many rev fans would agree with his answer at one time or another over the past year....well, at least not on the lips)
