Here is the scoring leaders as of the end of today GP G A Pts Preki, KC 10 6 3 15 Twellman, NE 9 6 0 12 McBride, CLB 10 5 2 12 Cunningham, CLB 10 4 3 11 Mathis, MET 9 5 0 10 Ruiz, LA (stupid fish) 8 5 0 10 Beasley, CHI 8 4 1 9 Kreis, DAL 7 4 1 9 Kamler, NE 9 4 0 8 Donovan, SJ 8 2 4 8 How much do you think the month absence is going to hurt TnT's chances at a another Golden Boot (Bud Scoring Champion?)? Mathis, Cunningham, Beasley, and Donovan will also be at the CC, giving the rest a good chance at getting a commanding lead. Hopefully Kamler and maybe another Rev (JMM, Ralston?) will dominate and we can have three on the list at the end of the year. Maybe wishful thinking, but without hope I would not be a Rev season ticket holder.
After missing 2 or 3 games while in France, Tnt comes home to find a new #10 to feed him the ball and get him back in the race. Ruiz has 15 of final 22 at home, and he seems to like his new digs, so he'll be in the race, and I think McBride will be too (unless the new baby keeps him up a night). It all depends on how many (if any) games Twellman will miss for the Gold Cup in July.
