TV schedule thread [R]

Good idea Frank. I'm going to sticky this thread, to make it easier to find when the games are on.

 

RTPi's website is showing that they will televise the Saturday National team game live.


In the past this has happened as well, Setanta will have the rights for closed circuit, and after driving around trying to find a place to watch it I would receive a phone call that the game was on RTPi.

No way of knowing until game time though.....


But like I wrote above, the website is showing it on its schedule.

 

Yeah, I'm guessing it will be shown on RTPi in other parts of the world, but not the US. Here's to hoping though!

 

I am keeping my fingers crossed for this one...sometimes, you never know. Last year when SCP faced Gencerbirligi at home, I actually went to a Turkish bar with my dad to watch it thinking that RTPi would NOT show it, only to find out after the game started that it was actually showing on RTPi. My dad and I decided to watch the 1st half there, then drive to ny parents place. Well, as we all know, SCP stunk out the joint and I walked out of there with my head down almost in tears as I was being teased and laughed at. SO, the moral of this story - if you can watch it at home, all the better!

The Benfica x Moreirense match is on Saturday, Sept. 11/04 @ 4:15 pm EST. The is the TVI "match of the week". Neither Bell ExpressVu nor RTPi, through their websites, have confirmed the match being transmitted however I suspect that the game will be at the very least shown live on RTPi. Once I get any sort of confirmation of this game being shown on TV, I will post it up. Enjoy.

 

According to the ads on RTPi, they will continue to show two matches a week involiving Benfica, Porto, or Sporting. One will be live, one will be tape-delayed. Ot spunds like Benfica x Moreirense will be live and either Porto x Braga or Sporting x Setubal will be delayed on Sunday.

 

Where do u get the bell info from??? I Couldn't find it anywhere.

I called KBS today and the guy was a real prick. He knew that I was calling from Canada and would not give me any information. When I told him that I actually am subscribing to the package here in Canada through Bell and have no intention of getting the games for free but merely wanted to pass this info on, he gave me the usual run-around - more info tomorrow, please call back. Sorry guys, I am trying though.

 

RTP's website indicates that RTPi will be showing Benfica - Moreirense live at 4:15 Saturday, and Setubal - Porto at 9:15 on Sunday (tape delay).

These guys are selling a subscription only comercial, for $2500 on dish network. It seems to be for 2004/05

 

I have FPTV (Channel 616) through Roger's Digital cable here in Canada. Som far I know they will be showing the Benfica match live at 4:15 eastern time but I dont see anything about Porto's game.

Any fellow Canadians have this channel? And if so do you know the schedule?

 

I wish that I can help. While watching yesterdays Gil Vicente - Boavista match I had noticed that it had an FPTV logo at the top right corner of the screen. I believe that FPTV sells the rights to the games in Canada for bars/restaurants and Bell has the rights to residential clients. Let us know what matches you can watch this weekend - who know, they might surprise you and have more than just todays Benfica match.

ATTENTION AMERICAN VIEWERS: It looks like there will not be any SuperLiga games on DishNetwork this season. While watching the Boavista x Setubal match, a notice scrolled through saying that the rights have been purchased by FPTV in Canada for rights in Canada only. It went on to mention that any American home or establishment watching the games illegally will be severly punished. This leads me to believe that the games will not be tranmitted on DishNetwork or SPT TV in New Jersey. I urge any Americans to call KBS and SPT TV to confirm that they do not have the rights to the games in the US.
