Anyone know if this Saturday's Super Cup will be televised in the US? Also, does anyone know if the matches between the big 3 are going to cost extra like last year in the US? Thanks
i think RTP is showing the game, and i believe i read that the derbies are no longer excluded like past 2 seasons.
so i called rogers and as of today, they are not offering the soccer package like bell is. also, is sport tv americas launched in the U.S. yet?
Thanks for the info. Hope you're right about the derbies not being excluded. Very greedy on SPT's part for excluding the derbies. I also think it back fired on them. Everyone just watched streams. Not as good of quality but it was free!!
I called Bell TV and have ordered the Portuguese Liga ZON Sagres package - and another $329 + tax has come and gone
Dude, you don't want to know how much my TV bill is per month, trust me I may have to turn my house into a pub and start charging a fee to recoup some of the funds that Bell will be taking from me!!! j/k
Oh I know, dude, but I guess it shows you how an insane a Sportinguista could be to watch his beloved team even if his team is not expected to win the title
SPORTV America will be on channel 609 on Dish it's in testing now. It will be on the 61.5 sat location for now.
Confirmed: Sport Tv goes live on Fridaythe 13th as part of the Luso PAck on Dish Network http://24horasnewspaper.com/user/mo...uaHRtJTNGbm9kZUlkJTNEMjgzNTA3Nw==&edicao=3518
Anyone else in Canada order the Portuguese soccer package through Bell? I've ordered it and confirmed it with countless of CSR's however the channel still shows as "unsubscribed" I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing...
Any word of a possible price increase on the package? RTPi, SPT, SIC Noticias, Sport TV Americas, EuroNews and some other channel for $24.99? That's a sweet deal...
No,no news of any price increases. We'll see... Remember that RTPi is actually a free to air station, so Dish Network doesn't really incur a cost for carrying this channel. And I can't imagine that Dish pays a whole lot to carry the other channels either. What sucks is original articles referenced an HD channel, but it doesn't look like we're getting that here. Oh well, I'm hopeful the pic quality with Sport Tv will be much better than what Seabra had to offer!! SCP Forever!!
that is a sweet deal. rogers and bell should take note here in canada. if they offered that, MANY portuguese would subscribe.
Anyone know where to get the guide online, it is up and running, picture looks like crap, and it has no info on it. (609 on dish, as reported). BTW, I only have RTPi, not the whole package, and they are broadcasting this for me. Orlando
Its in a free preview right now. the official launch of the channel isn't until tomorrow. it seems they flipped the switch a day early becuase the game thats on said 'teste" in the corner
Well you can thank the CRTC for the lack of introduction of various channels like SIC and SIC Noticias. RTPi took forever to come on Canadian airwaves via cable/satellite carriers and besides Rogers, I'm not sure who else offers the channel. While Sport TV Americas has been given clearance in Portugal to broadcast their signal in the US and Canada, who knows if either the CRTC will allow it or whether or not the rights holders would want to issue it residentially. I'll go on a limb and say it won't happen, at least not on Bell. What I would love to see is if I go home and Sport TV Americas is showing up on Channel 403
Hey Forca, I ordered it last week and it shows on my guide as as subscribed channel Trying doing the interactive help thing with your remote and click on " I am missing channels", That should do the trick
That would be amazing and make up for all the BS that the CRTC has thrown our way In a perfect world I suppose
