I don't understand. As far as the Portuguese Liga is concerned, there is no change in the RTPi service compared to the previous couple of years. As for the NT and Sub-21 games, I guess we are in limbo, but they did show the recent friendlies, so I guess there is some hope.
Dude, there is a multitude of football on tv. There's so much football on tv as it is. Do yourself a favor, trust me it's worth it, get Setanta Sports, best thing i did. Between Setanta Sports and FSC, there's so much football you wont be able to find time to watch all the games. Between the 2 channels today there's 11 games on. Plus setanta has the new episode of I'm on Setanta Sports which is hilarious. Get Setanta, you will forget about Gol tv. And you'll be able to watch the Portugal NT games.
So, does the fact that the next two NT games are on the Setanta schedule mean that we won't be seeing those games on RTPi? Does anybody know for sure one way or the other yet?
Speaking of SPT, I got a postcard in the mail yesterday in Portuguese from Dish network informing me that SPT/Sic are on free preview. I turned on the tele and the postcard was right, it is on free.
I'm not sure, but what I can tell you is that with the Euro 08 qualifiers most of the games were on both channels live. So not sure if that will be the same case with these WC qualifiers
Just checked the RTPi schedule online and the Sub-21 game against England and the Malta game are listed in the RTPi Europa schedule, but not in the RTPi America or Asia sections. This same thing happened for the last two friendlies, but both the Sub-21 and NT games were aired in the USA. So this certainly looks like a good sign for us RTPi viewers.
Ah, you beat me to it! This is a good sign for us! Obviously it wasnt going to be shown on Setanta in continental Europe since they dont have Setanta but looks good for us!!!!
Skip school? Não pode ser!!! Are you talking college? I went to one of those once. What class would you miss? The Sub-21 game is Friday the 5th at 2:45PM EST, and the Selecção Principal plays on Saturday the 6th at 2:00PM EST.
I thought we had a game on wednesday? Im in Highschool, I always skip school or leave early when Portugal plays during the weekdays.
Double check the times. Maybe I screwed up. You can always tape the games and watch them AFTER SCHOOL! I do that a lot since the games come on in the middle of the day. Worse for you on the left coast. Furthermore, my wife and kids couldn't care less about futebol, so I like watching the games after they go to bed. That way I'm not disturbed.
Dishnetwork offers DVR's as well. You could also get TiVo to use with any system or you could use a DVD recorder or an old VCR.
Now its not on their Europe or American schedule?!?!?!? WTF?!?!?! And its says updated as of 9/3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
