If he is signing autographs, he must be staying Looking over Tony B's list of players out signing autographs, it is probably safe to assume that these guys are very likely to be around for a while.
Re: If he is signing autographs, he must be staying Shawn Tsakiris was at Forekicks last year. I believe Yari Allnut was there, too.
TF3 was also at Forekicks. I didn't mention him because (alas) he's still here. I'm not surprised he's on the list below. As anyone who goes to enough games knows he's a regular giving out autographs after the games, or even during games when he's warming up behind the goalposts. I'd guess that one of my kids has gotten his autograph at least 10 times.
Unfortunately, my son is sick today. He's pretty bummed because he'd be seeing Pierce, one of his favorites. He's not on his deathbed or anything, but I could just see Pierce and Kante missing the Brazil trip because they became ill a few days from now...
Nice idea, but who knew? Hi, The turf tour is a great idea, but I don't think the event received enough publicity. My kids and I went to two locations that had two different teams (players plus their accompanying personel) and, for the most part, people were completely surprised that there were pros visiting that day. My oldest son plays indoor on Friday nights up in Acton and there wasn't any kind of poster to tell people about the event and that was the night before! The only reason I knew was from this list or if you happened to read the website this week. Come on folks! There should have been posters distributed to ALL of the locations at least two weeks in advance so that people could make plans to come. Also, some kind of blurb in the newspaper, if only to tell people to check the website for more specifics. After we dropped by Acton we buzzed down to Dedham Health and Fitness and were shocked by the lack of interest. And this was a location where they sent a camera guy! Why this location at all? It was mostly adults going to play tennis or grandma's doing swim aerobics! For the most part, this isn't the crowd that's going to be excited about getting an autograph from a soccer player. There were some people happy to see them there, but that was more accident than anything else! Now, did you send any players to the Park School in Brookline? There are hundreds of families there every Saturday for Futsal...a captive audience of soccer players and potential ticket buyers! Today made me feel sorry for the players (they want to meet with people that are excited to see them) and for the many fans who missed out on meeting the players because it was not advertised the way it should have been. 103 FAN (happy to meet the guys, but disappointed by the event itself)
Re: Rusty Pierce One word: OhMyGod. [That, boys and girls, is certifiable - if my bank included this pic of Rusty with my mortgage invoice I'd prepay the sucker] 103Fan: Agreed on the pre-publicity. They sent out the advance stuff a few weeks ago, but they didn't break out the schedule till recently. I have no idea why they waited, though. Turnout in New Bedford was pretty good.
Re: Pictures from Mansfield Why, the one in the Patriots gear, of course! I too, was surprised at the low turn out, and I wouldn't have gone if I hadn't read about it on this post.
Topsfield was packed More people for the clinic and autograph session than in 2002, and I'm sure Joe-Max had somethign to do with it, but the specific player announcement wasn't made until fairly late, so who knows. I was disappointed not to see any local, small media there, but I hope that if the Revs weren't able to get in touch with community papers before hand that they sent pictures and a press release after.
