My son insists on wearing Copas and Profis, but the turf rubber pellets get in the crack at the front of the shoes and slowly work the leather away from the soles. He claims turf shoes just aren't as good as regular cleats for turning or touch, but I don't want to have to buy new shoes every other month.

Does anyone have any recommendations for leather cleats that work well on turf? In particular, cleats that don't suffer from having pellets invade the shoes at the line where the sole joins the uppers. Or can you doctor the Copas so the pellets don't cause havoc.

    Thanks. Dorset
