Jack Warner simply HAS to be the most shameless human in the Western Hemisphere (after Bill Clinton of course) Does anybody recall, during the WC, just a WEE little bit of controversy over a linesman's calls during the Spain/Korea match? Does anybody remember just how truly abysmal those calls were, and how badly Spain got screwed? That AR was the token official personally dispatched from T & T by Jack hisself. The guy has SOME brass balls complaining that we need more of te same. As for the woman who died during the BG game, please allow a brief, but important clarification, to wit: The girl was previously dianosed as an exercise-induced asthematic. She had drained her inhaler and had neglected to get it refilled. So as a substitute, she stopped by a drug store and bought a Primatene Mist inhaler. It is not the same thing, and in fact can actualy CONSTRICT rather than relax the bronchi. The girl died due to untreated, or improperly treated, asthma, not medical oversight.
Re Bill Archer "One Great Guy". "In short: the same people who chide America for its short-attention span think we should have stopped military operations after the Taliban was routed. (And they quite probably opposed that, for the usual reasons.) The people who think it’s all about oil like to snark that we should go after Saudi Arabia. The people who complain that the current administration is unable to act with nuance and diplomacy cannot admit that we have completely different approaches for Iraq, for Iran, for North Korea. The same people who insist we need the UN deride the Administration when it gives the UN a chance to do something other than throw rotten fruit. The same people who accuse America of coddling dictators are sputtering with bilious fury because we actually deposed one." - James ileks What the *#*#*#*#*#*# has this got to do with Soccer. I agree strongly that everyone is entitled to, and should defend strongly, their own political views- IN THE RIGHT CIRCUMSTANCES AND THE RIGHT PLACES- but not in a Sports Forum. Take it to a politics site mate, or blow it out your arse!
