No one in the South will watch soccer. Those stupid rednecks only like NASCAR and College football. We all know that no one from the surrounding states even know what soccer is, much less support a soccer team. Let's not even talk about Atlanta. MLS teams should be Miami or Minnesota. Those people will pack it out all day every day.
That joke wasn't funny the first 50 times you've said it. Maybe it will get funnier the next 50 times.
Absolutely amazing. EDIT: @Bisquick_in_da_MGM Really. Enough already. Atlanta has exceeded nearly everyone's expectations; let's just enjoy it. signed: A fellow Southerner.
Yeah they do. The new ownership has actually been, well.... half professional. I actually saw an advertisement for tickets on FS1 during the US v Honduras match and their twitter presence hasn't made me want to unfollow them. I didn't end up getting season tickets (too many conflicts over the course of the season), but, when I was looking at the available packages, it appeared that they had nearly sold out and while I haven't made a game, a few friends have reported back that the temporary 5,000 seat "stadium" was sold out and the atmosphere has been solid early on. I mean it isn't Atlanta level stuff, but I am starting to get my hopes up just a little bit that we might actually get a franchise.
Also Shawn Wright-Phillips. Saw Phoenix's game vs TFC 2 last Sat. They were slow and couldn't keep up with the youngsters

I have to say, I feel sorry for Atlanta ( and anyone who gets their home broadcast on MLS Live) for having to suffer Alan Green in the Summer. Absolutely awful commentator.
One of which was a PK (which he didn't give up)... And to get into subjective and not objective metrics, nobody in MLS was saving the other one. Mainly because Jared Watts decided that the best way to defend a forward on a cross was by being on his back shoulder...
